Ellis Faas Blushes- review, swatches...(Part II)

Winter has almost arrived , especially in North India. Your all products either skincare or makeup would be changing according to the season. In this dry weather I'll prefer a cream blush and when we talked about cream blushes, in my opinion Ellis Faas's cream blush are some of the best blushes I have used ever. Today I'm going to continue with the Ellis Faas blushes reviews , first Blush- S301 and second Blush- S302. Both are cream blushes & are very pretty shades. How to apply

Apply a dot of colour directly onto the middle of the cheek with the signature ELLIS FAAS pen and fade out with your fingertips or with the sponge that comes with the powder.

Packaging

Wonderful packaging, come in a silver, bullet-shaped pen which are not very light weight but their sleek and pen shaped packaging makes them very easy to use and carry out wherever you want. The only problem with such packaging you aren't able to see how product is left or whether it is about to finish or not.

Applicator

A spongy applicator & after turning the bottom portion, the product comes out through the pores in the applicator.

Texture

Very soft and silky texture with a hint of shimmer which is visible more than S304. The creamy texture doesn't make the skin oily at all. It blends dreamily.

Shade and pigmentation

s301- s301 is a pinkish salmon color with a hint of lovely shimmer. The shimmers only give your cheeks a beautiful glow. This is my favorite shade between the two. 

s302- s302 is a warm pearl coral rose color. Only a hint of shimmer which gives a pearly glowing finish to your face.
 

Lasting power

As I had written my previous post of s304 the lasting power is amazing. These blush are the same and  last until you remove it, can stay whole day on your face. I'll want to say again that never get such long lasting power in a cream blush.

In the mirror of my own experience

S301 is my favorite shade. It gives me a natural pinkish glow. I only need a touch of it for each cheek and I find a natural and glowing effect. This blush blends beautifully. After blending the flow which I find looks as natural as if I've not applied any blush on the face at all, just naturally blushing from inside. 
S302 is perfect for all types of skin tones. Only a dab for each cheeks give a wonderful effect. This effect makes it a very different blush and adds to the natural appearance of this flush. I find  a dewy and youthful glow which is something most of us work hard to achieve. The most important thing in both blushes is that being cream blushes they give the effect of a mixture of powder and cream. Something like when you mix a cream blush with a same shade powder blush and the result which you get from these blushes gives you the same effect. This coral rose peachy pink shade is a bit darker than the first one but this is a natural shade and can be used everyday. Both are blend able like a dream and the finish is something that you obtain after running really fast.  The another important thing is that the formula contains vitamins C and E, essential oils, and rosewater so they  not only make you beautiful but also they are so good for your skin too. I already have written about the wonderful lasting power. I'm really really impressed.

Good points

Love its unique pen shaped packaging. I never found any problem with this packaging, just two clicks and I get the right amount of product.
Both shades are beautiful and give a natural effect on your face.
They blend wonderfully. 
Just a dab on each cheeks needed to find a natural finish. You may need more than one layer of color depending on the look you're trying to achieve.
Both shades look amazing and beautiful after blending on the cheeks. The shimmer which they contain, is not much noticeable only gives you a pearly finish.
The lasting power is fantastic of both blushes. They last until you remove them.
They never feel much creamy or oily on the face even in monsoons.

The cherry on the top is that they contain some useful ingredients like vitamins, oils etc. 
The price is worth their amazing qualities.

Bad points

Every time washing the applicator seems a headache...hey I'm a lazy person.
While washing the applicator, some product can be waste which is painful.
The color choice is limited, only four shade which is not enough.

Finally....

Finally I'm highly impressed with these blushes. They both give me a natural and beautiful effect which I love. The main thing is that I never feel something odd after applying them, feel like nothing is on my face at all. I forget after applying them because they stay on face for a whole day. I never test for night. I can apply then on my lips too and whenever I did this, the result was just amazing. All qualities which we wished from a blush get from them so what i can say more. They are just wonderful..God I'm impressed.

When we discuss about cosmetics, I want to say something about blush as one of the most important part of makeup without which our makeup is incomplete.Once I was discussing about the types of blush with my friends and cousins, that which type of blushes they like, cream blush, powder blush or stick blush but I noticed after discussing with them that majority of ladies loved cream blushes. How to apply

Packaging

Like their every other product it is packaged in a silver, bullet-shaped pen. And I think, the sleek pen packaging makes their product wonderfully portable, so you can pop it in your purse wherever you go and can use wherever you need to.

Texture

The texture is soft creamy with a hint of shimmer which is not much visible. The shimmer only gives your cheeks a glowing effect after blending.

Shade and pigmentation

The S304 is a russet bronze color. This one is the warmest and darkest shade from their range. The pigmentation is great. Very small amount is enough to get the shade you want. The amazing thing of this shade is that although it looks so dark and warm but after blending it looks quite natural.

Lasting power

The color also has a great longevity for a creamy liquid blush. I only need one touch up in 7-8 hours. Isn't it amazing?

In the mirror of my own experience

 When I saw the shade on Ellis Faas website, the swatch which is available there seemed to be a plummy rose but when I opened the cap and got the actual color on my hand from the pen, the color was so different from the one I had seen. It is a russet bronze shade which looks so dark and I was not very happy to see it because I can't even imagine to apply such a dark shade on my face. I thought it was not for me but I was very amazed when I blended it. I was just amazed to see the natural effect after blending it. Wow, amazing, I'd never imagined such a natural and beautiful effect from this warm looking shade. The colors from this collection are inspired by the colors that occur in the human body, I noticed that this shade looks partly like dried up blood and after blending it gives the effect just like the natural redness on your cheeks which looks so beautiful.

This formula contains vitamins C and E, essential oils, and rosewater – thus this blush not only makes you look good, but it’s good for your skin, too.

It's very easy to apply, take out a small amount of product, swipe it in the middle finger, dab it on the other middle finger and then applying it onto both cheeks and blend it well.This way you can get a very even application.

As you know that to find a flawless complexion, the most important thing is not only a foundation but a good concealer too that can sometimes sometimes play the most essential role. But concealer is a very complicated thing which rarely can give everything we want from it. As you all know that earlier I've never used a concealer on my face but gradually I felt that without concealer I can't find a completely flawless skin. There is a wide range of shades in their line. They have 8 shades in their concealer range. The second shade S202 is my skin color.

Packaging

Like the rest of the Ellis Faas line, the concealer is contained in a unique pen applicator. Which is so handy and very easy in use. Just rotate the back portion of the pen tolet the required product come out.

Brush

When we open the cap of the pen, we find a soft smooth brush for applying the concealer. The tip of brush is narrow & makes application of the concealer very easy on small spots as well.

Texture

The texture is very smooth and very easily gets absorb in the skin. It's not very thick nor runny.

In the mirror of my own experience

The  Ellis Faas concealer has a polished finish, with a formulation that offers high coverage to reduce the appearance of blemishes, pigmentation spots and dark circles. The S202 shade is an excellent match for my skin and foundation, thus giving a perfect coverage. It feels amazing on the skin, with no settling into fine lines or cakey appearance. I found it amazing, and very easy in use, just apply with the tip of the brush, wait a while and pat gently with the finger tip and done. With a unique blend of ingredients such as Karité oil and rice wax, Ellis Faas concealer immediately blends into the skin for a flawless finish. Vitamins E and C in the formula hydrate and have anti-aging and regenerating properties. The best thing in this concealer is it's very light weight texture and effect after applying on the face. A great concealer that does a great double duty of covering under eye circles and blemishes perfectly. Definitely one of the best concealers I've tried, and far and above the best one that stands up to the challenge of both under-eyes and spot coverage.

Good Points

This is the best, most natural looking concealer I have ever found.

Very light weight texture with no settling into fine lines appearances.

Very easy in applying. Very blendable.

It looks natural in any light. It doesn't settle into lines.

I love the packaging of the product; it's beautiful, slips into any handbag or makeup kit and looks great!

The quantity is good, it can last long for about 3-4 months if one uses it daily.

The price is high but to see its superior quality I think it's worth its value.

The only bad point which I found is its packaging which although being very beautiful  causes some problem. Sometimes  I turn the back portion and all of a sudden tons of product comes out. Very difficult to control and a lot of product gets wasted. So it's very painful to see the wastage of this fine and precious product.

Finally....

Finally I can say that it's another excellent product from Ellis Faas. The quality of this concealer reflects easily ELLIS's years of  experience with cosmetics and discovering this fantastic formula for giving such a flawless coverage and so light texture as if this is a part of the our own skin. Great!!! What else should I say?

Foundation is one of the most complicated things in makeup which sometimes seems impossible to get right one. You want a shade that matches your skin tones perfectly and in such a formula that is easy to work with, it must even out your complexion and hide imperfections.Which after applying should look  like nothing on your face at all. A foundation that made your skin flawless without showing on the face.

There are 8 shades in the line and the second lightest S102 which is perfect for my skin.

Packaging

The skin veil comes in the same silver pen packaging quite similar to the other Ellis faas products, but the only difference is these ones are bit bigger. It has a large brush for application. It comes with two vials which contain 7 ml each of the foundation. One of the vial has to be inserted inside the pen & the other is a spare one. All you've to do is just click the end of the pen for at least 7-8 times for the first time & then afterwards it just requires 3-4 clicks for the foundation to come out.

Application tips

Skin veil is very easy to apply. You can apply it both with the brush( included with it) or your finger tips. The large and soft brush which is included with the pen is very helpful for applying the foundation but it takes a bit time so when you are in a hurry you can use your natural brush I mean your fingertips for blending.

Brush

When you open the cap of the pen, you find a large and soft brush which is very useful for applying the foundation. The brush tip is designed in such a way that it makes application very easy.

Texture

The texture is neither thick nor runny. It's so light weight, quite creamy and very easy to apply and blend on the face.

In the mirror of my own experience

I have used their lip range before and love their quality so my expectations were high for their foundation too and after using it, I can say without any hesitation that they didn't let me down with my expectations.

After applying, while blending I was surprised to notice that my skin absorbed the foundation so easily and it gave the face one of the most beautiful finishes I have ever noticed. The finish was so natural, silky and smooth as if it's my natural skin. It's necessary to write that it gives a medium coverage not very high so if you want to hide some dark spots, you need a concealer but believe me this is the foundation which has given a beautiful finish to my face. I can't explain about the finish, I got after applying it, you can understand that the finish is neither matte not overly luminous, just natural, velvety and supple. It’s packed with silicones which give it all that slip for easy application, but despite my fears, it doesn’t seem to be causing any congestion for me and my skin & makes it look dewy, soft and silky. The lasting power is very nice, It stays about whole day without faded.Something which I want to mention to my readers is that the brush provided with the pen is very helpful for applying and blending so it should be washed after every application. I wash this with a gentle baby shampoo. You can wash it with gentle face wash too. After washing it properly, dry it with soft clean towel or cloth. Close the cap when it become dry completely. This cleaning process is necessary whether you use the brush or not because it's important for hygienic purpose. Whenever you'll open  your foundation pen, you find a clean and clear tip for use.

Good points

• I love its unique pen packaging. It's very convenient for traveling & very handy. It can be kept it in very small handbag without occupying much space and can be used while traveling too. 

• The brush provided with the pen is very useful. No need to keep a separate foundation brush for applying and blending.

• The texture is very light weight and it seems as if I haven’t worn any foundation.

• There are 8 shades available in this line so one can easily choose the shade according one's skin tones. Shades S101 to S103 are suitable for many skin shades. 

• It spread all over my face within seconds and it blended really flawlessly and smoothly on the skin.

• It has a medium coverage. I don't need a concealer after applying it but if one has some dark spots, a touch of concealer will make one's skin flawless.

• It gives a flawless, soft, dewy & non cakey coverage. 

• Has SPF 15.

• Very easy to blend with both brush and fingertips.

• It gives the most beautiful finish to my face.

• It seems to be quite creamy but after applying it doesn't feel oily on the skin, gives a very natural finish which I love.

• It has a strong staying power.

• Very helpful for office going ladies.

Bad points

• It has a medium coverage so if you want a high coverage foundation,you need a concealer of the same shade available at Ellis Faas.
• The brush provided with the pen is necessary to be washed regularly after applying the foundation otherwise it can clog.
• Only available online. 
• A bit pricey.

Finally....

Finally I love this unique designed pen foundation. After using it I can say that it has everything which one can wish from an ideal foundation. Most of us, don't like a foundation which looks like a plaster or mask applied on the face. So it is an ideal foundation for medium coverage lovers. The main specialty of this foundation is the beautiful finish which it provides after applying on my face and its light weighted texture. I really love this foundation.
