Shape up your brows with Sleek Makeup's Brow Kit

Well shaped and beautifully defined brows are not gifted to everyone. Some of us have brows which are either too thick or too thin. But we do try & give them shape sometimes by threading and sometimes by filling our brows with a brow pencil or powder. A brow kit should be an essential part of our makeup kit. Trust me, I had wished once while reviewing the Sleek Makeup's Nude collection that how nice it would be if Sleek Makeup produced a brow kit, they have given a lot of incredible eye shadow palettes for our eye makeup, a brow kit could complete their eye makeup range and I'm happily surprised guys after hearing the news about their brow kit....hahaha..I think they can hear what you think..Isn't it?

Sleek MakeUp Brow Kit
It's a compact kit containing all the essential things for defining the brows.

What Sleek Make up Says....
Sleek Makeup's Brow Kit is the ultimate tool for perfect brows every day of the week.
Brows have become one of the central emphases in daily beauty regimes; no longer is plucking the be-all-and-end-all of brow grooming.
This kit is small enough to fit in your handbag, & comes in 2 shades, Light & Dark, & includes: shaping wax, setting powder, mini tweezers, & angle & blending bushes.

Weight
4gm

Price
£7.99

Ingredients

Packaging
The packaging is very compact and the kit is very handy & travel-friendly. The outer packaging is a gray carton with the contents of the kit shown. Inside we find a small black box which is very similar to the one of Molten Metal. Inside that are included the powder, wax & other tools.

Contents

This kit contains:

Setting powder
Shaping wax
Angled brush
Blending brush
Mini tweezers

Texture

The setting powder has a powdery texture while the shaping wax is creamy. Both are very pigmented & work perfectly!!
How to use
After plucking stray hairs from in-between & underneath the brow, you're ready to use the Brown kit.
 Here's how:
1. Brush the brows in an upward direction with a brow brush to loosen the hairs & prep them for application.
2. Apply the shaping wax with the hard, angled brush following the natural shape of your brow to define the brows' shape.
3. Using the setting powder, apply across the brow sparingly to fill any gaps & create a fuller brow.

In the mirror of my own experience

Till now I hadn't taken defining & shaping the brows too seriously as my brows have been in quite a good shape. But then since the past few months after seeing the gorgeous brows of some bloggers I had thought of trying to shape up mine as well. So for that i used to use an eyebrow pencil which used to work quite well. But still a nice brow kit was something that i was always in search of...I thought of trying the Ardell one but then due to some reasons didn't.
Sleek Makeup was so kind enough to send me this perfect kit for the brows. The setting powder fills in perfectly within the brows making them fuller & the wax gives them the beautiful shape & definition. The tweezers are really good for plucking out the extra protruding hair (if any). The kit comes in two shades, light & dark & the one suitable for my brows is Dark. The shades match with my brow color & give them the beautiful shape which I'd always wanted!
This is something which everyone should get their hands upon & carry along!

Good points

The brow kit contains all the essential tools for defining the brows.
Comes in two shades so suitable for many brow colors.
Both powder & wax are very pigmented.
Very decently priced.
Handy packaging.

Bad points
None in particular.

Some pics showing how I define my brows using this kit

Bare brows
Fill in the pigmented wax
Then the setting powder
Final look

Finally...

Finally, I would say that this is a must-have for me & for all those who wish for well-defined brows. It contains so many important things for the brows in a very compact form!! The tools make it's use very easy & simplified!

Rating
5/5

Recommendation
I'll strongly recommend this brow kit to everyone who wants their bows to be in perfect shape. This kit launches on 26th October so you won't have to wait long!!

Metallic EOTD+FOTD using Molten metal

Hi friends and readers
Today's post is of a makeup look with Sleek Makeup's Molten Metal Eyeshadow Duo. As you can see I've applied slightly in a greater amount on my lids. If you want to apply them like me, apply a good primer on your lid, wait a while then apply the shadows. It gives a dramatic look but one will never like this makeup in real life so when you apply these shadow for usual makeup, take less amount of shadow, apply and blend properly. You can set these shadows with the same color powder shadow. This trick can make your makeup more stable. Maybe I'll post a natural eye makeup with these shadow but till now enjoy this makeup.

Sleek Makeup Molten Metal Eyeshadow Duo- review, swatches, photos

When I read the review of Sleek Makeup's new Molten Metal Metallic Eyeshadow Duo on some blogs, I really liked this product and was making up a mind to purchase it but two day ago, they send me this product like a lovely surprise & I was so happy to find it.
Sleek MakeUP's latest product, Molten Metal is a cream eyeshadow duo, with two metallic shades, steel & ash. Both are highly pigmented and looks fabulous on the eyes. This duo is perfect for the festive parties that are approaching!!!

Sleek Makeup Molten Metal Metallic Eyeshadow Duo

Sleek Makeup has added to the original Molten metal shades of Pewter & Gold Leaf with this season's coolest tones a silver duo of Steel & Ash. These are highly pigmented cream eyeshadow duo.

What Sleek Makeup says....

Illuminate your eyes with Molten Metal’s newest shades in Steel and Ash, a cool duo of graphite and silver. The intensely pigmented formula applies like a dream, whilst the vivid colour stays strong and crease free. The creamy texture allows for easy application, making dramatic eyes quick and easy to apply.
For starry, smouldering eyes highlight the inner corner of the eye and brow bone using Steel, with Ash to contour and line the eye

Packaging

Gorgeous and decent packaging, inside the  black and ash gray packet, we find a cute black box engraved with Sleek Makeup symbol which is very handy and  light weighted. Inside the box we find a shining mirror with the shadows duo. I love the packaging.

Shade

This is a beautiful silver duo of Steel & Ash. These are not the common silver shades, you can see this in the swatches how special these are!

Texture

Smooth texture feels on the skin like a dream, I enjoyed the soft texture while applying it on my eyes.

Pigmentation
These are highly pigmented and so that I told that these are not looking common silver shades, the high pigmentation has made them special and the name Steel and Ash is seems right after applying them.

Lasting power

I agree with Sleek Makeup that it lasts more long than other cream eye shadows but don't agree their claim that Molten Metal doesn't crease. You can't dare to apply these shadows without a good primer or if you like to apply it with your powder eye shadow only then you can apply these shadows without hesitation.

In the mirror of my own experience

Usually I don't use cream eye shadows because they always tend to crease on my lids after a while of application. Despite all my efforts I couldn't be successful  in preventing the crease line on my lids which looked bad. But then I did an experiment with my cream eye shadow. I applied a good primer first and then applied the shadow in a very less amount on the lids and blended it well with a blending brush & then with my finger tips. The result was achievable and I didn't see any crease line for about 4-5 hours of application. I applied Molten Metal eye shadows first without primer, but it creased so then I used the same trick with them and I was happy to see the successful effect of my trick with these shadows because they are more intensive than other cream eye shadows. A light touch is enough for applying and blending. Blending properly is the only solution to save your lids from making creases. Honestly I don't like to apply a powder shadow with cream one because it gives my lids a rough finish so I wear it with my primer, take a less amount of product, blend properly and done!
I didn't face any problem for at least 6-7 hours with Molten Metal shadows and this is the difference of these shadows and the other shadows.
Sleek Makeup  has made a right step before winters and these cream shadows would be great for this autumn as well as spring. These are also perfect for festivals, in a night party apply both shadows on your eyes with your white, silver, green or black dress, apply a light shade lipstick on your lips and trust me, you'll look like a silver siren!

Good points
I really love its cute packaging.
The shades are perfect for coming festivals, party and function.
The texture is smooth and soft like silk. I really love to apply it on my eyes due to its silky texture.
It blends on the lids like a dream.
The pigmentation is as great as all the Sleek Makeup other eye shadows.
It stays quite long for about 6-7 hours with a good primer but should apply a less amount of product and blend properly.
Will be great for the dry weather.
Reasonable price as always.

Bad points
Leaves crease line without primer so one should apply a good primer before applying them or set them with some powder shadows.
much amount of product also leaves creases so take a less amount and blend well.
Not perfect for hot weather.

Finally
Finally I would say that  it's a great cream eye shadow if I compare it with other cream shadows. Highly pigmented, great texture, smooth in blending, lasts long and good price..so many qualities, I'm really impressed. I'm also impressed with Sleek Makeup's great step at right time, they know a lot of festivals are on their way and all makeup junkies are waiting to introduce some exciting products from famous brands. Another triumph of Sleek Makeup!

Recommendation
If you are a lover of cream eye shadow I'll say that it's the best cream eye shadow I have ever used so you should surely try out this one in these festivals.

Sleek Makeup Bare Minimum Pout Polish- review, photos & LOTD

Hi dear readers,
You have read till now my reviews about Au Naturel palette & Suede blush. Now I'm going to review Bare Minimum Pout Polish which is a part of Sleek Makeup Nude collection. This is an ideal lip pout to give the perfect complement to nude lips.

Bare Minimum Pout Polish

Bare Minimum Pout Polish is a tinted lip conditioner which gives a glossy, transparent look to the lips.

What Sleek Makeup says...

Sleek MakeUP’s Nude collection wraps up your autumn beauty look in one warm, earthy and wearable collection. Bare Minimum Pout Polish is a glossy nude with Jojoba, avocado and sweet Almond oils, ensuring that chapped lips are a thing of the past.

Ingredients

Weight

10g

Price
£4.29

Packaging

Bare Minimum Pout Polish released by Sleek Makeup, comes in the same large, flat pot as the normal Pout Polishes do.

Shade

To see In the pot, Bare Minimum looks like a beigey-pink neutral shade with a hint of brown, but once you actually swatch it, it applies very sheerly and transparent. It's completely right at its name Bare Minimum.

Texture

The texture is too moisturizing and sheer like a lip conditioner.

In the mirror of my own experience

After opening the pout, I love its minty vanilla smell. The only problem is with it always using a lip brush for applying on the lips otherwise finger application can be unhygienic. But the effect of this Pout Polish on the lips is good. It gives an effect of almost nude lips. The natural colour of the lip shows through instead, but is muted by the slight beige tint. The Pout Polish leaves a glossy, high-shine finish that I think is quite pretty. It has SPF15 which is great. I have applied it on my lips with a light smokey eye makeup using Au Naturel palette and I really loved the effect which I got with this Pout Polish.

Good points

I love its minty vanilla smell.
Gives very natural nude look to the lips.
The texture is very moisturizing and sheer.
It has SPF 15 so you can be go anywhere without fearing the sunlight.
The quantity is good.
It's not sticky at all.
The price is very reasonable as always.
An essential part with a smokey look.

LOTD:

Bad points

The product comes in a pot which is not very hygienic. Due to this you have always keep a lip brush for applying it.
The lasting power is just okay. For long lasting you'll have to reapply it again.

Finally...

Finally I'm not much impressed with this Pout Polish. I accept that it's a part of a smokey look but on other looks, I'm not sure I would love to apply it. But yes, when I want to show my lips Bare Minimum, I'll really apply it without thinking.

Recommendation

If you're looking for a sheer nude lipbalm that moisturizes your lips and isn't sticky, I think Sleek Makeup's Bare Minimum Pout Polish would definitely be worth looking into. If you love to do a smokey makeup look, you need a Pout Polish Bare Minimum to grow your beauty.

So girls what is your experience with this Pout Polish?? Hope my review helped!!!

I have already written about my excitement about this collection. I always have been a lover for a nude collection. I have collected many nude lipsticks and shadows but my wish to get a complete collection was never fulfilled. When I saw this blush I really appreciated this wonderful creation of Sleek Makeup. No other shade can be better than this shade for a nude collection. The quality of this blush is fantastic. A light touch of it with a brush is enough to get a gorgeous look. The texture is so smooth, applies on the cheeks like a dream.

The shade is so beautiful and perfect for every skin colors. Even it'll look pretty on dark skin tones because the beautiful  finish which it gives to the cheeks, no matter what your skin color is, looks amazing.
I love its lasting power too. Very easily stays for 5 to 6 hours on my cheeks. I accept it becomes lighter after 4 or five hours but it doesn't fade in patches. Even the lighter finish also looks beautiful. One could get longer wears by using a primer or a cream blush underneath.

Can you afford to miss this??? {Sleek makeup Nude collection & Eid Mubarak}

Hey everyone!!

Eid Mubarak to all bloggers, my readers & friends!

What dress and which type of makeup are you wearing this Eid?

When are you reviewing the Nude Collection from Sleek Makeup?

These have been the two questions which have been asked by my readers again and again and I’m surprised to see the curiosity about this collection. You can imagine this by the fact that just the preview of this collection has become the most popular post of the month.

To be honest I myself was very excited for reviewing this collection because I really wanted to try some nude makeup these days & Sleek Makeup has given this precious gift for all makeup lovers who love nude looks by producing this wonderful collection.

Sleek makeup Nude Collection

The Sleek Makeup Nude Collection features an eyeshadow palette, blush and pout polish all in natural hues. A nude lovers dream.

Today is Eid and I have found my Eid gift on getting this lovely collection. Today I’m reviewing AU Naturel 601 palette.

Au Naturel 601 Eyeshadow Palette

This is a wonderful palette to find some beautiful looks. All 12 shades are created with a deep contemplation of makeup. We can compare the quality and color variety of this palette with Urban Decay’s Naked palette and find it more superior due to its reasonable price and colors variety which suits every skin tones weather it is warm and cool.

One another cause makes it more greater for me if do comparison with UD Naked palette. Naked palette has most of the colors shimmery but Sleek Makeup i-Divine Au Naturel Palette is filled with matte nudes and a robust mixture of shimmering berries, olives and browns and a special black, It has 8 matte color and four shimmer which i love. In my opinion, matte colors are more useful in daily life than shimmers.

Price

£6

Packaging

As always I love its classy packaging. The palette’s packaging is a sleek black matte casing. There is “Sleek Makeup” embossed on the flap. On the inside is the wide mirror. There is a transparent plastic sheet with names of the eyeshadows printed on it just like their Carribean and Oh So Special palettes. The palette also includes a duo felt tip long applicator which can be quite useful if you use an applicator for applying your shadow or If you forget to bring your eye brush along.

Shades

Sleek eyeshadow palettes come pre-made with 12 shadows. All shades have their own specialty.if you notice, every shade has its pair. Look first from upper line’s first shadow Nougat and then check from second line Conker , don’t you think you can create a lovely eye makeup with this pair? As the same way, check all shade’s pair. The Au Naturel palette has eight matte shades and four shimmery shades all that can be used for a wide variety of skin tones. I like that the matte shades glide on smoothly and don’t appear chalky at all. The shimmery shades aren’t overly thus making them perfect for every age and skin tones. You can create depth and drama with this palette by using the darker matte shade and can even create several variations of the smoky eye.

Pigmentation and Lasting power

All colors are superbly pigmented for the most part and blend well as a whole. I wanted to test their intensity and lasting power so I applied some shades on my eyes without a primer underneath. I was surprised to see that they ware not only showing up beautifully on the eyes on their own—even the lighter matte shades; but stayed on for so long too. I was able to get these to last with very little signs of creasing after 6 hours without using any type of eyeshadow primer. So with a base or primer, they will last even longer. Some shades of this palette so amazing and beautiful like Taupe, Noir, Regal and Conker. They are surprisingly beautiful and stunning.

Texture

What word should I use for its texture, silky, velvety, buttery or sleek! Each color is intensive and smooth, none of the shades is chalky in this palette so it has become even more special than Oh So Special where I had found one color less pigmented. There is a complete line of subtle colors and all are super pigmented and smooth like butter.

Now let's have a closer look at the shades:

Nougat

It’s a creamy whitish matte color which is perfect for highlighting. It’s much pigmented.

Conker

This is a maroonish shimmer brown. Sooo pigmented & blends like a dream.

Nubuck

This one is purplish khaki matte color which is an essential shade for finding a Smokey eye makeup. I love its intensity.

Moss

It’s a rare shade. I haven't found it even in my 80 color palette. It’s a golden teal shimmer shade which is perfect for define the outer corner of your eyes. just one touch is enough to find the color.

Cappuccino

This is a creamish off-white shade again good for highlighting. Absolutely matte in nature & pigmented too.

Bark

A matte brown shade, very similar to the color of a bark, the name serves very true!! Highly pigmented & blends very well!

Honeycomb

A very light yellowish shade, somewhat similar to Cappucinno. Matte & nicely pigmented!

Mineral Earth

This is one of my fave shades from this palette...a gorgeous dark brown color with shimmers. Highly pigmented & perfect for eye makeup for night parties!!!

Regal

A purplish, brown, matte shade. Quite unique & very wearable.

Noir

True black beauty...matte & veryy pigmented!!!! Perfect for creating gorgeous smokey eyes!

Rating

4.90/5

Finally...

Finally I would say that out of the three Sleek Makeup i-divine palettes, this one is my most fave although the other two are also fab!!!! This one has all the shades very pigmented as well as very wearable & useful! I will surely recommend it to all my readers because as the title says...You Can't Afford to Miss this!!!!
