Eye makeup for today

Hi friends,
Hope you all are fine. As everyone knows that march is here which means the spring season should be here…but in my city it seems as if the winters are not in a mood to leave :D The sky is all gray here as if the sky has done a light smokey look ;D :D
Anyways leave it, today I’m posting a lovely eye makeup of my sweet sister, to whom you all have been introduced before also ( Remember the lovely bride). This eye makeup will suit heavy dresses for function or festival. Will look nice on Indian sari or Lehnga dress.

Here the eye makeup is bit heavy so I have kept the lip color light and subtle for balancing the whole look.

I have used these products for this eye makeup:
Oriflame eye concealer
Colorbar eyeliner

Green shade from Maybelline quad (boo…it’s showing blue here!!)

Maroon from Lakme Desert rose quad

Revlon eye pencil

Revlon mascara

For the lips-

Amway lipstick( don’t know the shade name coz it was her’s)

So this is what i did on my sis when she had visited my place around a month ago. Hope you liked it :D

Celebrity Makeup 1- Angelina Jolie

Today I saw this picture while searching the net and I had to stop here to see this picture of Angelina Jolie. She has always been one of my favorite actresses in Hollywood. I always admire her makeup and style. I’ve never seen her with too much makeup and this is the fact which I like about her. Her makeup style is always natural and simple but very elegant. I don’t remember seeing her in any picture in which her makeup and style doesn’t suit her. She has done very light natural makeup on her face. I love the makeup which doesn’t show much on our faces but makes our face noticeable too. For a moment, I thought that if I try to copy this look, I’ll need this stuff for it.

Face-
Revlon Colorstay foundation
Revlon concealer
Chambor Silver shadow compact (very light touch only to cover up the shining part of the face)
Cheeks-

I can’t see any touch of blush here on her cheeks but you can give a very light touch of the beauty powder of V.V range of Mac
Or Revlon illuminator
Eyes-
Eye concealer by Oriflame or any eye primer
A natural shade of eye shadow from the Chamber trio Bronze on the lids
Revlon colorstay black eyeliner on the upper lids
Black eye shadow for smudging the half of the lower lash line from Maxfactor single eye shadow
Revlon false eye lashes
Lips-
Colorbar natural shade lip gloss 002
I’ll really love to do this look. What do you think about this? Do you like this natural look? If yes, you should surely try this :D :D

Avon Stick concealer- Review & Swatches

Hi beauties,
As you all know that concealer is an essential part of makeup. We all have some spot or blemishes on our faces. Sometime we want to get rid from under eye circles instantly. We apply foundation for it but sometimes it’s not able to conceal the spots and then the concealer is needed. Usually I didn’t use concealer but recently I mentioned some light small spots on my face and I have to use a concealer.

Today I’m going to write about the AVON’s Ideal Shade Concealer Stick which I bought four month ago but hardly used it. My friends always talk about this concealer and love it. Now even I use it sometimes and I must say that it is very nice.

AVON‘s Ideal Shade Concealer Stick claims:

Formulated with PreciseLight Technology.** The perfect cover-up. Seamless, skin-true, full coverage. Visibly conceal undereye circles & blemishes. Eyes look tired? Gently pat concealer along undereye circles from inside out, then blend. Now you’re out-the-door ready with spot-on confidence. .07 oz. net wt.

Information from avon.com

How to use:

Gently pat concealer along under eye circles from inside out, and then blend.

I have it in the shade fair which matches my skintone. :)

In the mirror of my own experience:

I found it very nice after using it. I gave a light touch of it on the spots and they disappeared as if they were never on my face. I chose natural one which matched my skin tone so perfectly. It blends on smoothly with a very soft feeling and does not dry out and cake onto your skin. It mixes with my skin tone and gives a soft and natural feeling. It depends on you how to use it before or after applying foundation. There is no any hard and fast rule. Do whichever way you feel is easy and which works better for you.

Sorry it’s a bit messed up :(

What I like in this concealer:

It’s handy and very comfortable to carry out in your purse.

Very easy to use. Give a light touch on your face and it is done. You can do it in anywhere even during traveling.

Very light and smooth. It doesn’t have that waxy feeling you get with other concealers.

Very soft and does not dry out or cake onto your skin.

You don’t have to wait for it to dry like liquid concealers. You can be ready only after one touch.

Its oil free so perfect for all skin types.

Not expensive. Reasonable price- Rs 200

Here are the swatches-

Spots on my hand-

Dab on the concealer-

Blend the concealer and it’s almost gone-

What I don’t like in this concealer:

It’s very soft and smooth so you will have to take care of it especially in summers. You can’t keep it in your purse during hot weather because it can melt easily and you can lose its ‘stick shape’.

Can get only from the Avon representatives so it becomes difficult sometimes.

Will I repurchase again?

Yes, but not now.

Will I recommend it to others?

Yes, because I found it very good so I surely recommend it to other girls.

Ratings: 3.90/5

So girls that was my experience with this concealer. What about you? Have you used it? Which concealers do you use??

Mac MC Sur blush- Review, Swatches & pics

Hi ladies,

Hope everyone is having a great week?? :D

As most of you must be knowing that I had bought Mac and Mickey contractor’s Gulabi & Mehr lipsticks but now here i have one more product added to my cosmetics from this collection :)

Mac Mickey Contractor Sur blush review-

I really like using blushes, but never happened to pick one from Mac except the beauty powder from VV collection. Even this time i just had two lippies but around two weeks ago one of my friend from Mumbai happened to visit me in Dehradun. she had come here for attending some marriage and I urged her to stay at my place for a day coz we happen to meet very rarely. It was she who owned this blush and when i saw it i was really enchanted by it’s beauty!! So it was then when i asked her to give this blush to me and I just paid her and ta daa…now it’s mine!! :D :D

She had bought the blush just one or two weeks before and hadn’t even used it once! She didn’t like the shade much but for me this shade is really fabulous!!

What i like about this blush-

Sur is a dirty plumy rose and it has a satiny sheen to it, giving my cheeks a lovely glowly finish :)

The texture is very smooth, pearly and is very pigmented. Just one swipe and i get my right shade :)

A good blush for everyday wear and a goes along very well with medium skintones. Even light ones like mine and darker ones will like it.

The quantity is good and won’t finish soon. As I don’t use dark blushes much so this is gonna last me for years!!

The blush lasts almost all day long on me, especially in winters. In summers it can stay for about 5-6 hours, maybe.

It is buildable.

Price- Rs 1150 but i got it in Rs 800

What i don’t like about this blush-

The shade is a bit dark for fair skintones.

The price is not decent….but that doesn’t matter much.

Rating- :) :) :) :) .5\5

So ladies…overall I would say that now I’m in love with Mac blushes sand now will surely get one or two more especially a golden one!! :-*

What do you think about this blush…have you tried it??

Maybelline Dream Mousse Bronzer- Review & Swatches

I have always adored Maybelline products. Their products do not only have a good quality but also in the limit of a common woman because all products have a reasonable price. I have a lot of Maybelline products and most of them are nice in quality. I particularly love their dream mousse products such as the blushes and now add this Dream Mousse Bronzer to the growing list of my maybelline favorites.

I bought this product two months ago but have used it only once and I’m very satisfied with its result.

Maybelline mousse bronzer-

This bronzer comes in a glass jar which is cute but a little bit bulky to carry out on my purse. The lid of the jar represents the shade of the bronzer. I’m not so sure but it comes in three shades gold copper and bronze. I bought this gold one.

What it claims-

Maybelline claims that the air whipped nature of this products ‘allows you to build up as much color as you like’.

How to use-

This ‘sun kissed’ bronzing mousse, as it is referred to on the lid has light and fluffy texture. The texture of this bronzer is creamy with shimmers. The bronzer itself is applied using your fingertips and very easy to apply although if you are out and your hands are not enough clean, use a light sponge for applying it.

Where to use-

According to Maybelline this is for the parts where the sun naturally catches you skin

so the bronzer can be applied on the cheeks, eyelids, chin, forehead, neck or chest, especially the places where sun catches your skin and can give a very elegant light shimmer effect.

For best results-

With your fingertips, pat a small amount of bronzer onto the apples of your cheeks, bridge of nose or wherever you want a summery glow. Use feathery strokes to blend gently. To build color intensity, apply more bronzer.

In the mirror of my experience-

I have used it only once before Muharram and I applied it on my cheeks, neck and my arms and believe me the effect was beautiful. Hey the sun couldn’t kiss the places as it was night but yes the electric lights had given an elegant effect and I enjoyed the views which had noticed something different in me.

in the sun light

It can give a very pretty look in the night parties or functions. Yes, you can apply it on your cheeks, chin, foreheads, neck, chest line, belly and arms in sunny days but make sure that you have blended it well. As far as I’m concerned, I’ll prefer applying it only during night occasions.

inside

Anyways, I can call it another favorite product of my Maybelline cosmetics. I love it’s effect on my cheeks and arms. If you apply it on your face during any night parties with foundation, the glow of your face will make you look healthier and beautiful. The glow will be natural not over. Very easy to apply, just open, touch with your finger tips, put and blend. You can apply it even in a hurry.

Rating-

I’ll give 4.75/5 for this product. So how is your experience with this product? Have you felt any difference after applying it? I’ll really love to know.
