Get gorgeous pearly eyes with maybelline Diamond Glow eyeshadow quad- Review & swatches

Hi ladies,
Hope you are enjoying the weekend!!
Sorry for this late post...was quite busy yesterday with guests n all but anyways now finally I'm here with a beautiful eyeshadow quad with which most of you must already be familiar. So here what i Have is this Maybelline Diamond Glow eyeshadow quad in 04 Ocean Blue.

Maybelline Diamond Glow eyeshadow quad- Ocean Blue

An eyeshadow quad which contains 4 different shades (all shimmery)- 3 different blues and a silver highlighter along with an applicator.

What it claims:
Creamy soft eye shadows with such rich pigments it holds up to 60% more glitter to make your eyes dazzle like diamonds.

Price:
Rs 375

Shades

From R-L they are:
A dark blue shade with several multicolored glitters and looks adorable on the eyes. Can be worn in nigh time parties & functions as it beautifully decorates the eyes like a jewel!!! Not very pigmented but satisfactory.

Next comes a light blue shade with silver shimmers. It has subtle shimmers which can be worn even in daytime as it'll look very decent & no less beautiful. Very pigmented.

The second last one is an icy silverish blue shade with light shimmers. Quite pigmented!

And finally the last one is a silver highlighter, shimmery in nature. Can be used on the brow bone to give a shimmery effect. Not much pigmented and a bit chalky in nature.

In the mirror of my own experience
When these quads were launched in India I was very eager to try at least one of them. First I though of trying the Copper one but as I already had many browns & coppers in my collection so I took this one as I loved all the shades in this. It contains all the shades of blue that one would require to do a beautiful EOTD. I had not expected the shades to be this pigmented as all the other maybelline quads & duos that I've tried have very less pigmented shades. But as you can see that they have raised the price of this quad so there had to be some quality.

Good Points

Gorgeous shimmery blue shades which are quite pigmented.
At the back beginners can take help from the instructions given.
The applicator is very beautiful and quite helpful as well.
Love the packaging!!!! The cuts on the lid give a diamond glow to this quad.
The silver shade looks great on the brow bone. It can also be used for giving shimmers to matte shades.
It is a very beautiful & handy quad.
The product is worth the price. I'm happy to see so much improvement in Maybelline's eyeshadows :D
I swipe each

Bad Points
I wish there was a mirror provided in this quad which would have made it perfect.
A single quad can only give shape to one sort of look and not multicolored....for example this one is for blue, Lilac for purple, Pink Wine for only pink eye makeup.
Very few shades are available in India :(

Finally....
Overall it's an amazing product, very affordable as well!! I would surely recommend it to others.

Rating
4/5

So girls what do you think about this quad? Have you tried any? Which one is your fave?? Will soon post a makeup look using this palette!!!

Maybelline Dream Mousse blush- Review & swatches

Hey everyone!!
Hope you are enjoying the week!!
Being a fan of Maybelline products especially lipsticks & bronzer, I decided to try out their cream blush too as i was in search of a good cream blush. And now i'm happy to say that I made the right choice and bought this one i.e. Maybelline Dream Mousse blush-40 Soft plum.

What it claims:

  • Air-whipped mousse blush feels satin-soft on skin, glides on smoothly, and blends easily for seamless color and a natural finish
  • Long-wearing formula provides luminous, long-lasting color on cheeks without clogging pores
How to use:
With your fingertips, pat a small amount of blush onto the apples of your cheeks. Use feathery strokes to blend gently from your cheekbones to your temples. To build color intensity, apply more blush.

Price:
Rs 190

Net weight:
5.75 g

Packaging:

This blush comes in a small glass jar with a pink lid similar to the Maybelline bronzer(color difference is there). It's a bit bulky but one can easily manage it.

In the mirror of my own experience:

I have never used cream blushes so this was my first experience with a cream blush and I must admit that I really loved this blush!! It has a smooth cream, velvety texture which blends like dream. It has some soft shimmers which look adorable and not too noticeable. It's very easy to apply this blush & it has a smooth & even finish too.

A closer look

Good points:
Love it's soft & glowy texture.
Gives an even finish.
Gives a beautiful & healthy radiance to the cheeks due to it's light shimmers.
Very pigmented and only a little quantity is required every time.
The staying power is for around 6-7 hrs on my normal skin but it may be a bit less for oily skin.
It's a beautiful light pink shade.
Very easy to apply and can be applied even in a hurry.
Very affordable & the product is worth the price.

Swatches

Bad points:
The jar packaging is a bit unhealthy coz one will have to touch it with the fingertips and a
brush also can't be used for blending it.

The shimmers may not be liked by everyone.

Only two shades are available in India :(

Final thoughts:

Finally i would say that it's another of my favorite Maybelline products & I would love to try some other shades too if they were available in India & I would highly recommend this to other girls as well who are in need of an affordable yet high-quality blush.

Rating:
4/5

Maybelline Dream Mousse Bronzer- Review & Swatches

I have always adored Maybelline products. Their products do not only have a good quality but also in the limit of a common woman because all products have a reasonable price. I have a lot of Maybelline products and most of them are nice in quality. I particularly love their dream mousse products such as the blushes and now add this Dream Mousse Bronzer to the growing list of my maybelline favorites.

I bought this product two months ago but have used it only once and I’m very satisfied with its result.

Maybelline mousse bronzer-

This bronzer comes in a glass jar which is cute but a little bit bulky to carry out on my purse. The lid of the jar represents the shade of the bronzer. I’m not so sure but it comes in three shades gold copper and bronze. I bought this gold one.

What it claims-

Maybelline claims that the air whipped nature of this products ‘allows you to build up as much color as you like’.

How to use-

This ‘sun kissed’ bronzing mousse, as it is referred to on the lid has light and fluffy texture. The texture of this bronzer is creamy with shimmers. The bronzer itself is applied using your fingertips and very easy to apply although if you are out and your hands are not enough clean, use a light sponge for applying it.

Where to use-

According to Maybelline this is for the parts where the sun naturally catches you skin

so the bronzer can be applied on the cheeks, eyelids, chin, forehead, neck or chest, especially the places where sun catches your skin and can give a very elegant light shimmer effect.

For best results-

With your fingertips, pat a small amount of bronzer onto the apples of your cheeks, bridge of nose or wherever you want a summery glow. Use feathery strokes to blend gently. To build color intensity, apply more bronzer.

In the mirror of my experience-

I have used it only once before Muharram and I applied it on my cheeks, neck and my arms and believe me the effect was beautiful. Hey the sun couldn’t kiss the places as it was night but yes the electric lights had given an elegant effect and I enjoyed the views which had noticed something different in me.

in the sun light

It can give a very pretty look in the night parties or functions. Yes, you can apply it on your cheeks, chin, foreheads, neck, chest line, belly and arms in sunny days but make sure that you have blended it well. As far as I’m concerned, I’ll prefer applying it only during night occasions.

inside

Anyways, I can call it another favorite product of my Maybelline cosmetics. I love it’s effect on my cheeks and arms. If you apply it on your face during any night parties with foundation, the glow of your face will make you look healthier and beautiful. The glow will be natural not over. Very easy to apply, just open, touch with your finger tips, put and blend. You can apply it even in a hurry.

Rating-

I’ll give 4.75/5 for this product. So how is your experience with this product? Have you felt any difference after applying it? I’ll really love to know.

Maybelline eyeshadow duo- Swatches and Review

Good morning ladies,

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Today’s post is just a short review about one of my Maybelline duos- Grey matters

This is a duo eyeshadow containing a pair of shades along with a sponge tip applicator.

What Maybelline claims- Maybelline Expert Wear Eye Shadow This advanced formula eye shadow glides on effortlessly with superior smoothness. Velvet-tip applicator blends without tugging or pulling. All-day crease-resistant wear. ExpertWear is a longwearing powder shadow that is crease, smudge, and streak resistant. Fade-proof color remains true throughout the wear.

Price- Rs 130

What I like about this duo-

This isa perfect duo for a light smokey eye look.

Mostly suitable for working women and teenager girls.

Very handy…can be kept anywhere.

Very decently priced.

Do not have a fall out.

The gray shade is very pretty in this duo.The gray shade is better in comparison to silver.

I love the tiny applicator.

Available in many combinations such as browns, lilacs, greens etc.

It’s not very pigmented but sufficient for a light eye makeup. The effect after applying is very pretty.

Lasting power is okay. Although i had used them without any primer and I didn’t face any problem of fading up of the shades. So if you apply them with primer, you can easily be comfortable for about 5-6 hours with them.

Here are the swatches-

In sunlight-

What I don’t like about this duo-

Both shades are not very pigmented. I have to take out the shade again and again to make them pigmented.

Pics from a look which I had done a few months back on my blog

What about Buying it again-

I already have 2-3 of these so won’t buy any more. But will surely recommend it for collage going girls and the beginners of makeup.

Rating- 3.5/5

So, what do you think about these duos of Maybelline? Please don’t compare them with any luxury brand. After all you don’t have to pay much also :-D

Maybelline shadow stylist- Review and swatches

Hi lovely ladies,

The year is coming to an end. So what are your New Year resolutions for 2011? I haven't made any because I know that I'll never follow them. he he!! Anyways wish everyone all the best for an amazing New Year!!! Enjoy<3

So today I'm reviewing Maybelline Shadow Stylist loose powder 620 Contemporary white.

I bought it on my trip to Delhi. I wanted some unique product for my eyes, when i saw this the bell rang in my mind. I love silver shade and always look for it in different brands so without wasting my time I bought it.

The Maybelline Shadow Stylist is loose powder eye shadow in a bottle with a sponge tip applicator. I bought it in white pearl shade, the price of this product is Rs 325.

Directions for use:

* Shake package. Tap off excess powder.

* Use the unique sponge tip applicator to apply one layer to your eyelids for a basic look.

* Apply more pressure during application for more color and intensity.

* To further intensify the look, add lighter shades to highlight and darker shades to contour your eyes.

Why I love this product:

It is unique in many ways.

The packaging is lovely like a nail polish or eyeliner and is very cute.

Very easy to keep it in my purse or vanity case. Very comfortable in applying on my lids.

One coat is enough for getting a natural pearl shade.

Amazing blending by its applicator. After one coat, my lids look bright and even. It can be applied on the brow bone for highlighting.

It evens out my lid colour.

It can be mixed with other dark shades too to create a party style look.

.

This shimmer shadow so beautifully decorates the eyes with it's shimmery effect.

Glides on so easily and covers the whole of the lid in 1 or 2 swipes...Isn't that amazing! I've used many Maybelline shadows and none of them were very pigmented or shimmery but this loose powder is really amazing. Well done Maybelline:))

I'll surely get some other shades too like black, green, brown, blue etc.

Cons-

The quantity is really less.

Here is the swatch. Only 2 swipes without any base-

Anyways it is a lovely product so I'm satisfied.

So ladies hope you liked this product because I surely did! Have you tried any other shades? What do you think?

A QUICK LOOK JUST IN 10 MIN & I'M READY TO GO OUT!!

Some times it happens that we are in hurry not too well but suddenly we are insisted to go out somewhere by our brothers and sisters, our boy friends or hubby. We can’t refuse them but the question is what to do when we do not have much time to ready ourselves.

I know this moment often comes in your life. What do you do then? Either you go in a simple look or you take much time for yourself and listen to some unpleasant comments for it.

But next time when you face that moment you can pick some tips from here for your preparation. Believe me it will take only 10 minutes and you can get a simple but nice look.

10 minute look-

1-at first wash your face, wipe it and apply some moisturizer if you need. Take any stick foundation or compact which contains foundation in it. You can use Colorbar compact, Lakme magic, Mac compact plus foundation, Loreal roll on or Chambor stick foundation.

I have used here Chambor stick foundation. You need only 1 or ½ min for it.

2- Eyes

You have to spend some time for your eyes but maximum 5 min. Take any shadow palette choose a shade according to your dress. Now apply very lightly because we don’t need dark shade. You can take Maybelline palette, Chambor trio, Mac single color shadow, Lakme quartet, Rimmel trio or any other brand.

Here I have used Maybelline lilac shades and my dress was purple so it was matching.

You have to apply the shadow from inner corner to outer corner of your eyelids. No need to apply any shade on your brow bone but you can use a very light one if you want.

Take your mascara and use only one coat for your lashes. First upper lashes then lower lashes. It will be better if you have transparent mascara.

I have used Loreal Extra volume mascara.

3-Cheeks-

No need to apply blush on your cheeks. Sometimes our own skin glows without the blush.

I haven’t used any blush here.

4-Lips-

Only natural and light color lip gloss is what you need. Apply and press your lips over one another. You can choose natural shades from Revlon, Lakme, Maybelline, Mac, Loreal, Colorbar or any other.

I have used Colorbar transparent lip gloss.

Now brush your hair and leave it loose. Don’t tie, take your purse, wear your shoes and you are completely ready to go out anywhere. Come out from your room with a lovely smile and go with your partner. Don’t forget to look at your partner’s face who would be surprised to see you ready so soon.

Hey, where are you going Madam?

At least you should say thanks to me. Hahaha:))

Maybelline Extreme Moisture lip liner- Review

Good evening everyone,

Today I'm reviewing Maybelline Moisture Extreme lipliner in Glamour Red.

Lip liners are a must have in one's makeup collection. I've got many lip liners and now I added one more to my collection.

Although I love using Colorbar and Revlon lip liners but this time for a change I thought why not try one from Maybelline as well.

These liners are available in 5 shades but this one was the best and I bought it.

Price: Rs 200

Lip liner is smooth in texture and glides on my lips smoothly.

Doesn't dry off the lips which is a very good quality.

The tip won't break coz it is in a pencil style.

Does not smudge.

So I would say that the price is worth the product and it's nicely pigmented too.

I like the packaging and the pencil doesn't get blunt very soon either.

Sorry I couldn't put any swatches coz my camera's battery went out at that time.

Will I recommend it- Yes you can buy this but still I find Colorbar better but this product did not disappoint me....Good job:))

Will I buy it again: Yeah maybe,  another shade next time!!

So have you tried any product from Maybelline's Exteme moisture range?Go ahead and get one:))

Maybelline Expert Wear Blush- Review

Hi ladies,

It's really good to be back. Now I'll continue writing more and more reviews and other posts on my blog coz it's really been a long time. These days my Internet connection is not working properly so I'm not able to comment on everyone's blogs but I promise that I'll get it repaired soon.

Anyways today's review is about a new Maybelline Expert Wear blush on which I bought recently. Shade: 95 Potpourri

As you can see that it's a dark pink shade which is a color that suits many of your dresses.

PRICE: Rs 209

Very reasonable as most of the Maybelline products are.

Gives a nice light glow to the cheeks.

It can suit even dark skin tones as well as light ones.

I like the applicator provided.

It's oil free.

The staying power is really impressive( 6-7 hours)

Available in many shades and I find Dusty mauve and Berry Sorbet lovely colors.

It's a nice product but not very pigmented.

But overall I liked this product and according to the price it's really impressive.

RATING: 3.5/5

So guys have to tried any of the Maybelline blushes?? Which shades have you used?

EOTD & FOTD (Requested by my lovely readers)

Hi pretty and lovely ladies

Our feelings, our happiness and our passion are all attached with each other. Really it's only possible because of Internet and blogging. Isn’t it?

Anyways today I’m here with a new activity and it's all for you because you guys insisted me do this look. So here I have tried my new Maybelline Seashore palette on my eyes.

I have chosen only two shades with a golden one.

I took the blue shade for the inner corner of my eyelid then applied some golden shade and green shade on the outer corner of my eye lids.

I blended them with my Vega eyeshadow brush and applied black eyeliner.

I applied green shadow on the half of my lower lid and blue on the other half and then applied mascara.

When I had bought this shadow, I was not completely satisfied and didn't know that it will give me such a great result.

Products used (eyes):

Chambor stick foundation in place of primer

Maybelline Seashore frost Quad

Lakme Desert Rose Quad (only golden)

Revlon eyeliner- Black Beauty

Loreal Extra Volume Collagene Water proof

Revlon false lashes

Vega eye shadow brush

Face:

Chambor liquid foundation

Colorbar Cosmic Rose blusher

Revlon compact powder

Lips:

Colorbar+ Street Wear gloss(mixed)

Colorbar lip liner- Politely pink

Now after this look I'm completely satisfied with this product and very happy with it. But…but  but..the satisfaction will only be complete if you guys would like it. So I’m very keen to know that what do you think about this look.

Hope you all like it. Enjoy this week!!!
