Ellis Faas Blushes- review, swatches...(Part II)

Winter has almost arrived , especially in North India. Your all products either skincare or makeup would be changing according to the season. In this dry weather I'll prefer a cream blush and when we talked about cream blushes, in my opinion Ellis Faas's cream blush are some of the best blushes I have used ever. Today I'm going to continue with the Ellis Faas blushes reviews , first Blush- S301 and second Blush- S302. Both are cream blushes & are very pretty shades. How to apply

Apply a dot of colour directly onto the middle of the cheek with the signature ELLIS FAAS pen and fade out with your fingertips or with the sponge that comes with the powder.

Packaging

Wonderful packaging, come in a silver, bullet-shaped pen which are not very light weight but their sleek and pen shaped packaging makes them very easy to use and carry out wherever you want. The only problem with such packaging you aren't able to see how product is left or whether it is about to finish or not.

Applicator

A spongy applicator & after turning the bottom portion, the product comes out through the pores in the applicator.

Texture

Very soft and silky texture with a hint of shimmer which is visible more than S304. The creamy texture doesn't make the skin oily at all. It blends dreamily.

Shade and pigmentation

s301- s301 is a pinkish salmon color with a hint of lovely shimmer. The shimmers only give your cheeks a beautiful glow. This is my favorite shade between the two. 

s302- s302 is a warm pearl coral rose color. Only a hint of shimmer which gives a pearly glowing finish to your face.
 

Lasting power

As I had written my previous post of s304 the lasting power is amazing. These blush are the same and  last until you remove it, can stay whole day on your face. I'll want to say again that never get such long lasting power in a cream blush.

In the mirror of my own experience

S301 is my favorite shade. It gives me a natural pinkish glow. I only need a touch of it for each cheek and I find a natural and glowing effect. This blush blends beautifully. After blending the flow which I find looks as natural as if I've not applied any blush on the face at all, just naturally blushing from inside. 
S302 is perfect for all types of skin tones. Only a dab for each cheeks give a wonderful effect. This effect makes it a very different blush and adds to the natural appearance of this flush. I find  a dewy and youthful glow which is something most of us work hard to achieve. The most important thing in both blushes is that being cream blushes they give the effect of a mixture of powder and cream. Something like when you mix a cream blush with a same shade powder blush and the result which you get from these blushes gives you the same effect. This coral rose peachy pink shade is a bit darker than the first one but this is a natural shade and can be used everyday. Both are blend able like a dream and the finish is something that you obtain after running really fast.  The another important thing is that the formula contains vitamins C and E, essential oils, and rosewater so they  not only make you beautiful but also they are so good for your skin too. I already have written about the wonderful lasting power. I'm really really impressed.

Good points

Love its unique pen shaped packaging. I never found any problem with this packaging, just two clicks and I get the right amount of product.
Both shades are beautiful and give a natural effect on your face.
They blend wonderfully. 
Just a dab on each cheeks needed to find a natural finish. You may need more than one layer of color depending on the look you're trying to achieve.
Both shades look amazing and beautiful after blending on the cheeks. The shimmer which they contain, is not much noticeable only gives you a pearly finish.
The lasting power is fantastic of both blushes. They last until you remove them.
They never feel much creamy or oily on the face even in monsoons.

The cherry on the top is that they contain some useful ingredients like vitamins, oils etc. 
The price is worth their amazing qualities.

Bad points

Every time washing the applicator seems a headache...hey I'm a lazy person.
While washing the applicator, some product can be waste which is painful.
The color choice is limited, only four shade which is not enough.

Finally....

Finally I'm highly impressed with these blushes. They both give me a natural and beautiful effect which I love. The main thing is that I never feel something odd after applying them, feel like nothing is on my face at all. I forget after applying them because they stay on face for a whole day. I never test for night. I can apply then on my lips too and whenever I did this, the result was just amazing. All qualities which we wished from a blush get from them so what i can say more. They are just wonderful..God I'm impressed.

How to use

After plucking stray hairs from in-between & underneath the brow, you're ready to use the Brown kit.

 Here's how:

1. Brush the brows in an upward direction with a brow brush to loosen the hairs & prep them for application.

2. Apply the shaping wax with the hard, angled brush following the natural shape of your brow to define the brows' shape.

3. Using the setting powder, apply across the brow sparingly to fill any gaps & create a fuller brow.

Till now I hadn't taken defining & shaping the brows too seriously as my brows have been in quite a good shape. But then since the past few months after seeing the gorgeous brows of some bloggers I had thought of trying to shape up mine as well. So for that i used to use an eyebrow pencil which used to work quite well. But still a nice brow kit was something that i was always in search of...I thought of trying the Ardell one but then due to some reasons didn't. 

Sleek Makeup was so kind enough to send me this perfect kit for the brows. The setting powder fills in perfectly within the brows making them fuller & the wax gives them the beautiful shape & definition. The tweezers are really good for plucking out the extra protruding hair (if any). The kit comes in two shades, light & dark & the one suitable for my brows is Dark. The shades match with my brow color & give them the beautiful shape which I'd always wanted!
 This is something which everyone should get their hands upon & carry along!

Mineralissima Mineral Makeup- Review, Swatches & photos (Part I)

Today I'm going to review about some products from a rising mineral cosmetics brand who has made a good place among mineral cosmetics lovers.

They had sent me some products for review so today I'm going to show some of their foundations. They have a great range of foundation for all skin tones. I'll review about 3 Mineralissima foundation and Chiffon finish. I hope you'll enjoy this post.

Mineral Foundation 1.2 Neutral Light

It's  suitable for light skin tones with neutral and warm undertones.

In the mirror of my own experience

This is a shade lighter than my skin tone. There are even two more lighter shades available so if you have a very fair skin tone, you can easily choose your shade from their range. I mixed it with  foundation 1.3 and then applied on my face for testing and I saw that it was perfect to my skin tone.

Mineral Foundation 2.0 Medium Light 

It's suitable for light and medium skintones with neutral undertones. This shade exactly matches with my skin tone.

In the mirror of my own experience

This shade is closed to my skin color. I can't say that it's perfect with my skin shade because the shade a bit light but this one will be my choice if I choose among the three. I applied it on my face and satisfied with the shade. I applied it directly on my face and love the finish which it gave to my face. It gave a medium light coverage and felt very light weight on the skin. I wanted to do an experiment with this foundation and once I took a bit amount of moisturiser on my palm and mix with this foundation blended with moisturiser and applied on my face, blend it with my finger tips and I was surprised to see that it gave me a good coverage which was not less than a medium coverage liquid foundation. I need a very light touch of concealer under my eyes and my face was ready for makeup. Great!

Mineral foundation 3.10 Cool Beige

It's suitable for medium skin tones with warm and yellowish undertones.This one a shade darker from my skin tone. I mixed it with 1.2 shade foundation and made it close with my skin tone.

In the mirror of my own experience

I would say that it's a bit dark from my skin shade but I used it with 1.2 foundation and applied it on my face. It' also similarly light weighed and gives you a medium coverage. It feels smooth, blends effortlessly and gives a lovely effect. I apply it sometimes directly on my face and sometimes after applying my liquid foundation. 

Chiffon Finish

An ultralight, silky mineral finishing powder. It is transparent and can be used alone or as a finishing touch after applying foundation. A must-have for a flawless-looking skin!

In the mirror of my own experience

This one is the best finish powder I have ever used. It's a great product and I think it can play a major role to get a flawless look. I apply it alone on my face and sometimes after applying the foundation. It gives a lovely effect even alone on the skin. It doesn't make my face dry but gives it a satin finish which I love. It has become an important part of my makeup kit.

 

Finally...

Now I want to say something finally about all these products. First about the foundation, I'm quite surprised and happy to see their lovely coverage. I never got such a high coverage in mineral foundation. I love the effect which I find after its application. I wouldn't say that it hides all the imperfection on the face but if you don't have much flaw in your face you only need a light touch of concealer before applying it. You can mix it with your moisturizer and it'll work for you like your liquid foundation. They contain SPF 15 sun protection which makes them more special. In this way, it stay long about 5-6 hours easily on your face  Overall I really impressed with their foundatiom.

Blended

If I talk about the Chiffon Silk finish powder, It's the best one among their product. If your a makeup lover and complete your kit with all best thing in it, your kit will be incomplete without this finish powder. I really love this product.

Good points

They have a great range of shades for all skin tones.

The foundation gives a good coverage which you don't expect from all mineral foundations.

It's light weight & gives a natural effect.

After mixing with a moisturiser it gives more coverage than in a loose form.

You skin can breath after applying it and you feel comfortable with it.

It provides sun protection too.

Lasting power is not bad.

It's a mineral product so you can save your skin from harmful effects.

I have always been a lipstick lover and want to try every new shade from different brands. I had never used Rouge Bunny Rouge lipstick but had read a lot of praises about this brand's lipstick so I eagerly wanted to try it and I'm very happy that I got this chance. I was excited to write its review but due to some reasons I couldn't do it soon so today I'm here with this lovely lipstick.

 Packaging

Rouge Bunny Rouge grabs away all the points when it comes to their packaging. I extremely love their packaging especially the white flowers on the black backgrounds. The lipstick comes in a black packet which has all over it a white flower design. Inside the box,the shining black lipstick again with some white lovely flowers. I can't explain how lovely it looks! I only can say"gorgeous".

Shade

The Succulence of Dew Sheer Lipsticks comes in 8 shades. The lipstick shade which I'm reviewing is Jasmine- Weighted Air 006. It's a peachy orange shade which looks a bit dark but when you apply it, but finally you get a very pretty orangish peach shade with a gold sheen.

Texture

 Texture of this lipstick is very moisturizing and glossy. It can be described as a mixture of lipstick and lip gloss. One doesn't have to apply a lip balm underneath it can even work your dry lips and make it moist.

Pigmentation

Being a sheer and glossy formula it doesn't give high coverage like matte lip colors but as a glossy lipstick the coverage is good. It's perfect for both casual and formal outfits. You need only one swipe for usual dresses and two or three swipe for getting more coverage with party wear dresses. The gold sheen makes it unique and different.

Lasting power 

Despite a glossy formula the lasting power is quite effective. No need to reapply for about 4-5 hours and for me it's not bad. If you want more, apply some loose powder on your lips before applying the lipstick.

In the mirror of my own experience

When I first swatched it on my hand I was happy to see that the shade as it was so lovely and natural. It was not dark orange but orangy peach with a golden sheen which I love so much. The texture is glossy and moisturising. Something like a mixture of lip gloss and lipstick, the glossy effect is like a lip gloss but good coverage of shade makes it close to a lipstick. It looks so beautiful after applying on the lips, no need to apply a lip balm underneath due to its moisturising texture. Usually I don't like much sheer lipstick but it's different from other sheer lipsticks. Generally I found sheer lipstick not moisturising. I wanted to see its staying power so applied it for a visit to my close friend's home. She was very impressed with its beatiful finish and lasting power because I stayed there for about 5-6 hours and inspite of having a good lunch I didn't need to reapply the lipstick on my lips. Although a bit faded( hey I had had my favorite lunch there) the lipstick stayed on my lips. The lipstick does indeed feel hydrating and very comfortable on the lips. I love that it contains so many beneficial ingredients 

in this lipstick which  makes it not just a lipstick but a lip treatment. It's a sheer formula but offers nice, even coverage. It has become one of my favorite lipsticks!!

Gorgeous and decent packaging, inside the  black and ash gray packet, we find a cute black box engraved with Sleek Makeup symbol which is very handy and  light weighted. Inside the box we find a shining mirror with the shadows duo. I love the packaging.

Shade

This is a beautiful silver duo of Steel & Ash. These are not the common silver shades,you can see this in the swatches how special these are!

Texture

Smooth texture feels on the skin like a dream, I enjoyed the soft texture while applying it on my eyes.

Pigmentation 

These are highly pigmented and so that I told that these are not looking common silver shades, the high pigmentation has made them special and the name Steel and Ash is seems right after applying them.

Lasting power

I agree with Sleek Makeup that it lasts more long than other cream eye shadows but don't agree their claim that Molten Metal doesn't crease. You can't dare to apply these shadows without a good primer or if you like to apply it with your powder eye shadow only then you can apply these shadows without hesitation.

In the mirror of my own experience

Usually I don't use cream eye shadows because they always tend to crease on my lids after a while of application. Despite all my efforts I couldn't be successful  in preventing the crease line on my lids which looked bad. But then I did an experiment with my cream eye shadow. I applied a good primer first and then applied the shadow in a very less amount on the lids and blended it well with a blending brush & then with my finger tips. The result was achievable and I didn't see any crease line for about 4-5 hours of application. I applied Molten Metal eye shadows first without primer, but it creased so then I used the same trick with them and I was happy to see the successful effect of my trick with these shadows because they are more intensive than other cream eye shadows. A light touch is enough for applying and blending. Blending properly is the only solution to save your lids from making creases. Honestly I don't like to apply a powder shadow with cream one because it gives my lids a rough finish so I wear it with my primer, take a less amount of product, blend properly and done!

I didn't face any problem for at least 6-7 hours with Molten Metal shadows and this is the difference of these shadows and the other shadows.

Sleek Makeup  has made a right step before winters and these cream shadows would be great for this autumn as well as spring. These are also perfect for festivals, in a night party apply both shadows on your eyes with your white, silver, green or black dress, apply a light shade lipstick on your lips and trust me, you'll look like a silver siren!

Good points

I really love its cute packaging.

The shades are perfect for coming festivals, party and function.

The texture is smooth and soft like silk. I really love to apply it on my eyes due to its silky texture.

It blends on the lids like a dream.

The pigmentation is as great as all the Sleek Makeup other eye shadows.

It stays quite long for about 6-7 hours with a good primer but should apply a less amount of product and blend properly.

Will be great for the dry weather.

Reasonable price as always.

Bad points

Leaves crease line without primer so one should apply a good primer before applying them or set them with some powder shadows.

Not perfect for hot weather.

Finally

Finally I would say that  it's a great cream eye shadow if I compare it with other cream shadows. Highly pigmented, great texture, smooth in blending, lasts long and good price..so many qualities, I'm really impressed. I'm also impressed with Sleek Makeup's great step at right time, they know a lot of festivals are on their way and all makeup junkies are waiting to introduce some exciting products from famous brands. Another triumph of Sleek Makeup!
