Shape up your brows with Sleek Makeup's Brow Kit

Well shaped and beautifully defined brows are not gifted to everyone. Some of us have brows which are either too thick or too thin. But we do try & give them shape sometimes by threading and sometimes by filling our brows with a brow pencil or powder. A brow kit should be an essential part of our makeup kit. Trust me, I had wished once while reviewing the Sleek Makeup's Nude collection that how nice it would be if Sleek Makeup produced a brow kit, they have given a lot of incredible eye shadow palettes for our eye makeup, a brow kit could complete their eye makeup range and I'm happily surprised guys after hearing the news about their brow kit....hahaha..I think they can hear what you think..Isn't it?

Sleek MakeUp Brow Kit
It's a compact kit containing all the essential things for defining the brows.

What Sleek Make up Says....
Sleek Makeup's Brow Kit is the ultimate tool for perfect brows every day of the week.
Brows have become one of the central emphases in daily beauty regimes; no longer is plucking the be-all-and-end-all of brow grooming.
This kit is small enough to fit in your handbag, & comes in 2 shades, Light & Dark, & includes: shaping wax, setting powder, mini tweezers, & angle & blending bushes.

Weight
4gm

Price
£7.99

Ingredients

Packaging
The packaging is very compact and the kit is very handy & travel-friendly. The outer packaging is a gray carton with the contents of the kit shown. Inside we find a small black box which is very similar to the one of Molten Metal. Inside that are included the powder, wax & other tools.

Contents

This kit contains:

Setting powder
Shaping wax
Angled brush
Blending brush
Mini tweezers

Texture

The setting powder has a powdery texture while the shaping wax is creamy. Both are very pigmented & work perfectly!!
How to use
After plucking stray hairs from in-between & underneath the brow, you're ready to use the Brown kit.
 Here's how:
1. Brush the brows in an upward direction with a brow brush to loosen the hairs & prep them for application.
2. Apply the shaping wax with the hard, angled brush following the natural shape of your brow to define the brows' shape.
3. Using the setting powder, apply across the brow sparingly to fill any gaps & create a fuller brow.

In the mirror of my own experience

Till now I hadn't taken defining & shaping the brows too seriously as my brows have been in quite a good shape. But then since the past few months after seeing the gorgeous brows of some bloggers I had thought of trying to shape up mine as well. So for that i used to use an eyebrow pencil which used to work quite well. But still a nice brow kit was something that i was always in search of...I thought of trying the Ardell one but then due to some reasons didn't.
Sleek Makeup was so kind enough to send me this perfect kit for the brows. The setting powder fills in perfectly within the brows making them fuller & the wax gives them the beautiful shape & definition. The tweezers are really good for plucking out the extra protruding hair (if any). The kit comes in two shades, light & dark & the one suitable for my brows is Dark. The shades match with my brow color & give them the beautiful shape which I'd always wanted!
This is something which everyone should get their hands upon & carry along!

Good points

The brow kit contains all the essential tools for defining the brows.
Comes in two shades so suitable for many brow colors.
Both powder & wax are very pigmented.
Very decently priced.
Handy packaging.

Bad points
None in particular.

Some pics showing how I define my brows using this kit

Bare brows
Fill in the pigmented wax
Then the setting powder
Final look

Finally...

Finally, I would say that this is a must-have for me & for all those who wish for well-defined brows. It contains so many important things for the brows in a very compact form!! The tools make it's use very easy & simplified!

Rating
5/5

Recommendation
I'll strongly recommend this brow kit to everyone who wants their bows to be in perfect shape. This kit launches on 26th October so you won't have to wait long!!

Metallic EOTD+FOTD using Molten metal

Hi friends and readers
Today's post is of a makeup look with Sleek Makeup's Molten Metal Eyeshadow Duo. As you can see I've applied slightly in a greater amount on my lids. If you want to apply them like me, apply a good primer on your lid, wait a while then apply the shadows. It gives a dramatic look but one will never like this makeup in real life so when you apply these shadow for usual makeup, take less amount of shadow, apply and blend properly. You can set these shadows with the same color powder shadow. This trick can make your makeup more stable. Maybe I'll post a natural eye makeup with these shadow but till now enjoy this makeup.

Dull golden & brown EOTD- photos, tutorial

I tried an EOTD using dull golds & brown shades...so wanted to share it with all my readers. Please take a look!

Now the tutorial

Apply a good base or primer on your bare lids

Take light dull golden shade,  and apply onto the lid with a flat brush, keeping it below the crease.

Now on a blending brush sweep out some dull brownish golden eyeshadow onto the area slightly above the socket line to your outer corner. Then with a pointed brush take the same shade and apply it very close to the lower lashes to define your lash line. Use another pointed brush and apply the dull gold shadow which you have applied on you lid area, in the inner corner of your eyes.

Then take a half creamy dull golden shade for the rest of your lids including your brow bone. Now with a pointed brush blend the edges of all colors well.

Line your top lash line with a black liquid eye liner and make a wing line.
Then line your lower lash line with the same eyeliner and join it with a wing line.

Apply mascara & use false lashes if you want

Now you are done!!

So what do you think about this EOTD?? Hope you liked the tutorial!

Christina Marie minerals- Review, Swatches & EOTD

Hi girls,
Hope you are having a great weekend!!!
Today i've come up with a review on the mineral makeup by Christina Marie.
Christina Marie Minerals is a shop on Etsy.com where you can find a great variety of gorgeous eyeshadows, all mineral!!

About CMarie Minerals
Welcome to Christina Marie Mineral Cosmetics where mineral makeup is produced with the most pure ingredients and at an affordable price! Each product is handmade, blended, jarred, and packaged by me and my assistant...my dad =)
All my mineral make-up products are 100% natural and you will never find fragrances, preservatives, sythetic dyes, or parabens in them. They are also always oil-free, non-comedogenic, and never tested on animals! I hope you can find a product you love and enjoy it as much as I do!

Christina Marie Mineral Eyeshadows

Christina was kind enough to provide me sample jars of 4 eyeshadows-
Golden brown, Chocolate, Gold & Electric Blue eyeshadow.

Net weight
1g

Ingredients
Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron oxide, Carmine

A closer look at the shades:

Electric blue
Electric Blue eyeshadow is a bright, light, electric blue color with a pretty pearly undertone and soft metallic sheen!

Chocolate
Chocolate eyeshadow is a gorgeous chocolatey brown color with agolden undertone and shimmer and shine!
Golden Brown
Golden Brown eyeshadow is a stunning milky brown color with a gold undertone and light golden sheen!

Gold
Gold eyeshadow is a stunning light gold color with a metallic gold undertone and a light golden sheen! Looks a bit lemony in the swatches.

In the mirror of my own experience
Like the other mineral eyeshadows that I've tried till now these eyeshadows are also nicely pigmented containing shimmers. They decorate the eyes very well & the shimmers make them ideal for application in night functions etc. The festive season is here & these shadows will be a good choice these days. There is a great variety of eyeshadows found on their shop at a very reasonable price so you should definitely check out some shades to add to your eyeshadow collection!!!
Fall out is a problem faced in almost all mineral makeup shadows so that can be prevented by applying a good primer underneath.

From L-R; Golden brown, Electric blue, Chocolate, Gold
In shade without a primer, two swipes each

Rose Blush

Apart from these four shadows, I was also sent a Rose blush.
It is a beautiful pink shade with a golden sheen. It has slight shimmers & looks very beautiful on the cheeks!!

I also did an EOTD using three shades- Gold, Electric Blue & Chocolate

And another one using Chocolate & Gold

Finally...
Overall I'm very pleased by these products! The products arrive very safely & quickly& they are really great in use too!

What do you think about these shadows & blush?? Have you tried mineral makeup before???

Rouge Bunny Rouge Quartz Eyeliner- Review, swatches & EOTD

Hey everyone,
Hope you would have enjoyed a nice weekend and would be ready to do your routine work. I'm   here with a new post to refresh your mind.
Aplying eyeliner is a delicate art of makeup. This art needs a lot of practice and patience. Sometimes we get really amazed on seeing clean and clear smooth lines on the eyes. I myself often had thought how do the makeup artists make such clear and smooth lines. No doubt that it's an art which comes after hard work and practice but I didn't know at all that some eyeliners make this art so easy even if your in learning process or are a beginner. The Rouge Bunny Rouge Quartz Eyeliner such a liner which has changed my thoughts about this art. Not only the thoughts but it has showed me how easy it is to make a smooth line on the eyes.

Some words about the brand
Intricate and luxurious cosmetics brand, Rouge Bunny Rouge, twists opulence and beauty with embellished detailing to deliver a range of color make up that embraces both romance and whimsy. Wearable, blendable and adaptable formulas and shades are at the very heart of Rouge Bunny Rouge. The formulas are absolutely outstanding and have been sourced from the world's most sophisticated laboratories. I'm honored to be able to share this very unique and qualitative brand with you.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Quartz eyeliner

 What RBR says...

A soft, water-based formula ensures tender application. We also added Borosilicates (´Anthracite Essence´ does not include Borosilicates) – minute particles of artificial quartz that fill the formula with an incredible shine and shed a coquettish lustre onto the lines. The Eyeliner allows for high coverage, dries quickly, is super long-wear and has excellent skin compatibility. An elegant brush means you can apply both fine thin lines and passionate wide lines. You can use the Eyeliner alone or over your favourite eye pencils or eye shadows.

Net weight
2.5 ml

Price
£ 27.00

Ingredients

 Packaging

It comes in a beautiful black packaging with lovely white flowers which are a symbol of RBR products. Inside the packing, we find a black shiny slim bottle with some white flowers. The bottle is handy, light weighted just like other famous brands. There is nothing too special with the bottle but we can find the main wonder after opening the bottle. The brush and the liquid which did a magic after one touch and surprises us.

 Applicator

Amazing would be a perfect word for describing the applicator!! It really makes application so easy & fun!

Shades

Rouge Bunny Rouge Quartz Eyeliners available in four beautiful shades.
Tiger Eye Essence, Opalescence Essence,  Anthracite Essence,  Amethyst Essence

Anthracite Essence
Anthracite Essence is a black shade liner which contains some silver glitters in it.
Texture
The texture is neither thick nor runny, It's so smooth and light as feather.

How to apply
Before using the Quartz Eyeliner, shake well to wake all the ingredients up and distribute them evenly through the liquid base.

For a perfect line, stretch the upper eyelid slightly and apply alone or over a pencil for added depth of color.

In the mirror of my own experience

I'd been using Revlon Colorstay liquid liner till now because I hadn't found any other eyeliner better than that. It worked well on my eyes but I never got such results as I saw on some models eyes by makeup artists. I'm not as good in makeup as some of my fellow bloggers. I'm always fascinated to see the lines on their eyes and always satisfy myself by thinking that they all are perfect in makeup art. I'm still a learner so I'll learn one day by the time. when I got this liner, i had never thought that it would be better than my Revlon Black Beauty eyeliner but trust me, after applying it for the first time on my eyes, I was just surprised to see the result which my mirror showed me, a smooth, perfect line on my eye without any effort. Black shade with some silvery glitters and a soft and even line..just amazing. I have tried many brands eyeliners but applying liquid eyeliner is always a difficult task for me. Sometimes the consistency of liner was too thin sometimes thick or dry and wet and sometimes the applicator is too hard, thick and sometimes too soft and thin. Although I got good results with the Revlon eyeliner but never as perfect as this RBR's wonderful Quartz eyeliner. I found this really easy to use. you have to shake the bottle to mix the product, and you get a great intense color, which dries neither too quick and not too slow. Once dry it stays put, and manages not to crack and deposit shimmer all down the face. The applicator is great, applying the liner with this applicator is like a dream. The end of the tip is very fine and also flexible, making it easy to get precise wings etc. Sometimes it feels as if I have only held the applicator with my fingers but it moves on my eyes itself without any effort and I get a beautiful, even line in seconds... Oh I love it.

 Good points
  • I love its beautiful, handy packaging.
  • The consistency of the liner neither thick nor runny.
  • The silvery glitters gives a glamorous look to my eyes but glitters are not so much that it can't be applied in day time. It's perfect for both day or night looks.
    • It has a great intensity of color. You can either apply it with a shadow or without it.
    • The applicator plays the most important role to make it wonderful product because the tip is not that soft, more like a combination between a pen and a brush.
    • It applies on my eyes like a dream.  I think that this one can also be used by beginners or learners like me.
    • If you want a touch of elegance and modern look to your eyes this is definitely a great product to try.
    • The price is a kind of expensive considering only the 2.5 ml of product but after knowing its quality the product is worth the cost.
    • One can buy it easily from RBR website and Zuneta.com. They ship world wide.
    just 1 swipe

    Bad points
    • Some people might consider it costly but once they know about its qualities and wonder work, they definitely will change their opinion.
    • Can be purchased only online.

    Finally....
Finally I can say that this the product which has changed my opinion about applying liquid eyeliners.  Although a liquid liner is the hardest thing to apply because it requires a lot of practice and a special technique, I won't say that it's not true but with this RBR eyeliner, this difficult art is now in your hand, you can get a wonderful result without any effort or hard work. Trust me, with this eyeliner, applying liner is an enjoyable task for me. I love this eyeliner and want to congrats the RBR team on producing this amazing eyeliner which has changed the meaning of eyeliner application for me. Congrats & Thanks RBR!

    Recommendation

Oh of course, I want to recommend it all of my friends and readers. If you want to make eyeliner application enjoyable and get a beautiful wing without practice or effort, grab this wonderful eyeliner.

I hope this review was helpful for all of you. Have you tried any one of RBR Liquid Liners? Or what liner is your favorite right now?
