Himalaya Herbals Natural Moisturizing Lip Butter- Review, photos

I always love Himalaya’s products because they are not only natural and very efficient but always at a very reasonable price. Not only me, I have noticed this in the people around me. They never sell their products with high price tag. Sometimes people want to buy something superior but can't due to very high cost of the products. I appreciate Himalaya Herbals for maintaining their logical price and good qualities in their products as well. I have done many reviews of their products which I use- HERE.

Today I’m going to review their newly launched product- Himalaya Natural Moisturizing Lip Butter. I’m happy that they have given me this great chance to introduce everyone with their new product. Believe me if I hadn't got a chance to try this still I would have gone to the market to buy it when it launches.

What it claims
A unique and luxurious blend of exotic butters that provides nourishing care, keeping your lips supple, smooth and healthy all day long.

Key Ingredients

Cocoa Butter, Kakum Butter, Mango Butter, Sal butter

Ingredients

Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, BeeWax, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Flavour, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter, Tocopherol, Garcinia Indica Seed Butter, Mangifera Indica Seed Butter, Shorea Robusta Seed Butter

Net weight

10g

Price

Rs 125

How to apply

Apply evenly & liberally on your lips, as often as needed.

Should be remembered

This is a personal care product & should be used by one individual only.

Packaging

I really love this packaging. I didn’t expect such a classy packaging of a lip balm or butter.Comes in a small transparent jar with a green cap. On opening the cap one would find a plastic lid over the contents to keep it safe.

In the mirror of my own experience

I opened it and suddenly its lovely smell made my day pleasant. Pleasant smells always give a good sense of any product. Applying it on the lips was a very pleasant feeling & that too indescribable. This lip butter is all about my lips wanted since long. I have used many lip balms but none can become my favorite or need of my lips. If you know me, you know that Boroline has been my favorite for moisturizing my lips especially in winter but I have to apply a lip balm when I go outside but they are never much effective for me. After 2-3 hours my lips became dry again. I wasn’t sure that this one would be helpful for me. I applied it on my lips and waited for about 2 hours and found that my lips were as moist as they were when I had applied it. And then I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that my lips are still moist even after 5-6 hrs. Wonderful!!! The word which justifies its effect isreally wonderful. I’m really happy to find this impressive product. It would be a part of my skincare in the coming winters. I applied it at about 2 pm & now it’s 7pm and my lips are still moist and soft. What more can I expect from lip butter.

Good points

Lovely packaging, very handy to keep it in my purse.

Impressive ingredients which are really effective for my lips

I love the smell. It makes me happy.

It works after applying and makes my lips soft and supple. The effect remains at least 4/5 hours. I never found such effective lip balm ever. I think that’s the difference in a lip balm and lip butter.

It contains some high quality ingredients which soothes and hydrates the chapped lips and makes them soft.

If they right in their claim (mango butter rejuvenates the skin and helps minimize lip wrinkles) about which I’m sure, then it’s helpful for mature people’ lips.

Bad points

The only bad point that I can count is that the packaging might prove to be a bit unhygienic, but one can overcome that if used only with clean hands.

Rating

4.75/5

Finally…

Finally I would say that it’s a gift for dry lips especially for the dry cold weathers when we are always in search of something good at reasonably priced as well.

My moisturized lips using lip butter

So girls, go & get yours very soon and do share your experience through the comments!!

Himalaya Herbals Gentle Refreshing Toner- Review & pics

Hi beautiful ladies,
It's time for another review. As you already know that I love using Himalaya products and have reviewed many products from this brand before. But it's summer time so thought of reviewing something that suits this season. So today's review is all about
Himalaya herbals Gentle Refreshing Toner.
Toner is an important part of our skin routine in summers so take a look at what i think about this toner.

What it claims:

A special blend of herbs that controls excess oil secretion and makes your skin oil-free. It is enriched with Lemon and Jasmine which refresh and cool your skin, Sensitive Plant extracts that control excess oil secretion, and Sweet Marjoram that nourishes the skin, to keep it healthy and radiant.

Key Ingredients:

Jasminum sambac
(Jasmine, Jati)
Mimosa pudica
(Sensitive Plant, Lajjalu)
Origanum majorana
(Marjoram, Marubaka)
Citrus limon
(Lemon, Nimbuka)

Price
Rs 70

Net Volume
100ml

Directions for use
After using Himalaya Herbals Deep Cleansing Milk, pour a few drops of Gentle Refreshing Toner on a cotton pad and wipe thoroughly over your face and neck.

Packaging:
Comes in a semi-transparent plastic bottle which is not at all bulky or heavy. The green screw cap makes it very secure & safe. Inside there's another plastic cap with a small hole in between. Although it's a handy bottle but I would surely prefer a spray bottle for a toner rather than this one as in my opinion it's not that convenient.

In the mirror of my own experience
As I've mentioned many times before also that during summers & monsoons my skin becomes a bit oily/normal & for that I need to change my skincare products as well. A toner is quite essential for me when I come home from somewhere outside. When i decided to use this toner for the first time, the smell that reached me was really rejuvenating. It was light and refreshing! I used it 3-4 times and realized that it did not make my skin any more oily & not even dry. So that really proves that it can be used for all skin types.

Good points
It's alcohol free which makes it quite harmless.
Refreshes the skin making it oil-free.
Has a lovely fragrance.
It's very mild & does not feel heavy on the skin.
Although there are some faults in the packaging but yet it is very hygienic & handy. You can take out the required amount.
The ingredients are such that will keep the skin healthy.
Very decently priced and lasts long.

Transparent liquid is the toner...just like water :D

Bad points
As I've already mentioned that i would prefer a toner in a spray bottle.
Contains parabens :(

Finally....
Finally i would say that it's a very inexpensive product & even then it's quite good and one should surely give it a try at least once.
Rating
3.80/5

So girls what do you think about this toner...was my review helpful? By the way, which toner do you guys prefer using?

Himalaya Purifying Neem Scrub-Review & photos

Hey everyone,
Hope you're enjoying the week and the hot summers!!
But maybe your skins are not enjoying this season due to acne or pimple problem...isn't it?
And for that here I have a great product: Himalaya herbals Purifying Neem Scrub (with Antibacterial properties)

What it claims:
Specially formulated to give you clear, problem-free skin, this scrub works with a dual exfoliation and purifying action. Neem well known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, kills problem causing bacteria. Combined with exfoliating Apricot granules, it gently scrubs away blackheads, dead skin cells & embedded impurities, leaving your skin soft, clear, refreshed and problem free.

Key ingredients:
Neem, Apricot

Direction to use:

Moist face and neck and apply, avoiding area around eyes. Massage gently with fingertips in a circular motion for a minut. Wash off and pat dry. Use 2-3 times weekly.
Our product is dermatologically-tested, noncomedogenic and hypoallergenic.

Packaging

It comes in a tube with an attached cap which is very comfortable in use and the tube is very secure enough.

Texture

The texture of this scrub is semi cream-gel base with granules suspended in it which is so easy to spread on the face and feels mild.

Price

Rs 65 for 50g

In the mirror of my own experience

I have been a big fan of lotus herbals scrub but never tried this one due to a silly reason that I thought that it's a neem scrub so must be for oily skin but now when I've tried it, I regret my assumption of avoiding such a great scrub.

I use it only 2 times in a week in the same way like I have mentioned HERE and after 2 weeks I noticed a clear difference in my skin. Soft, bright and clear. I won't say that my skin was not good before but after using it there was a bright clearness in my face. The best thing is that it’s so mild and suitable for every type of skin.

Good points

  • I love the mild texture of this scrub especially the white and green granules.
  • Though I have no pimples but it can be effective for the skin which has pimples because it contains anti-bacterial properties which can work to reduce the recurrence of pimples.
  • It makes the skin clean, fresh and soft.
  • It’s also effective in reducing the blackheads.
  • It removes all the dirt and gives a clear smooth skin to you as it cleans the skin pores.
  • The tube packaging with flip-flop cap keeps the scrub secure from wastage and it’s very easy to use.
  • Very comfortable in carrying out for traveling.
  • So the product is completely worth the price.

Bad points

  • I found only one bad point in this scrub & that is that it stings a bit in my eyes which is quite irritable.

Final thoughts

Finally I can say that I love this scrub and I’m happy that I have another option to change my scrub time to time. It’s really effective and works well on the skin. in summers I think it’s more effective than Lotus Herbal scrub.

Rating

4/5

Recommendation

Yes, in this hot summer, I’ll suggest every girl to try it because it has no skin type bondage so it’ll work for all types of skin. Even teen age girls can use it without tension.

So ladies what about you? Have you tried this scrub? What are your thoughts about this product? I would really love to know your opinions and experience.

Has a light fragrance.

Himalaya Herbals Intensive Face moisturizing lotion

Hi ladies,
I'm back from Kolkata after 9 days. Kolkata is my hometown and I've spend most of my childhood there. But since I've moved to Dehradun never got much time to visit it many times. But this time in my friend's marriage I finally got a chance to go there after a long time. I really enjoyed my trip and everything went well. Finally I'm back and I know I missed many posts of my favorite bloggers but I'll manage to check them out.

So now let's talk about today's post which is a review on Himalaya Intensive Face moisturizing lotion.

Summers are almost here and as I've mentioned before also that my skin texture changes with the weather and so do my skin care products. I've used many moisturizers in which I mainly prefer Shamoist in winters. But for summers when I require something a bit runny and light I use this moisturizer.

What it claims-
It is specially developed formulation for extra dry skin. Even if you have normal skin, use it in dry winter months when a normal moisturizing lotion just will not do. It is enriched with herbs like Aloe vera, Indian Madder and Country Mallow, that provide extra nutrients and enzymes to nourish and moisturize your skin when you need it the most.

Ingredients-
  • Sida cordifolia (Country Mallow, Bala)
  • Aloe barbadensis (Barbados Aloe, Kumari)
  • Rubia cordifolia (Indian Madder, Manjishtha)
Directions for use-
Apply all over the face and neck with gentle upward strokes.

Precautions-
Store in a cool and dry place.

Price-
Rs 75 for 100 ml

In the mirror of my own experience-

I've used this moisturizer before also and I was quite disappointed at it's false claim of being good for winters for extra dry skin. But when I tried this during summers for my normal skin it worked really well. Therefore I would like to clearly mention that this moisurizer is good for most of the skin types for summers but in winters it should be used for combination, normal and oily skin type. I use it in summers and I'm totally loving it for my normal skin type.

The good points-

  • It makes my skin smooth and soft. I need only some drops to finish the dryness of my skin. It also makes the skin healthy.
  • Gives a nice glow to my skin and makes it supple.
  • It guards against moisture loss.
  • I love its texture and its pleasant fragrance.
  • It's neither thick nor too runny...so perfect for summers.
  • Product is worth the price.
  • Easily available in every part of the country and you can get it through online shopping also.
  • I haven't experienced any breakouts while using it.
  • Non-greasy.

The Bad points-

As it claims to be good for extra dry skin & winters, I don't find it much effective for dry skin in winters. So one must not try it for dry skin during winters.

Overall verdict-

I'm highly satisfied with this moisturizer for my skin type in summers and I'm surely gonna try it again and again.

Rating-
4/5

Will I recommend it-

Yes....surely for summers!!

Hope this review helps :D Have you tried this moisturizer?? Which one do you prefer for summers??

Himalaya Purifying neem Face Wash- Review & Photos

My skin type is usually normal but it has changes with the weather. In summers it remains normal but in monsoon it becomes a bit oily. I have to change my skincare routine according to its nature, so as a result the products also change.

Last summer when I visited Delhi, the weather was so hot there that I found some pimples popping out on my face. It was so irritating. So I bought Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash because it’s a herbal product and I always prefer herbal products for my skin. I used it twice a day and after four days only, my skin became clear from pimples and I found my skin clean and soft. After that unfortunately I couldn’t buy it again as I went on trying other face washes in which I found some good while some were not of my type. But now I have it again and I’m so happy to review one of my favorite face wash.

What it claims:

A soap free herbal formulation that gently removes impurities and prevents pimples.

Neem, well known for its anti-bacterial properties, kill problem causing bacteria, and Turmeric effectively controls acne and pimples. Use regularly for clear, soft and pimple free skin.

Direction of use:

Moisten face and neck, apply a small amount of purifying Neem Face Wash and gently work up a lather using a circular motion. Wash off & pat dry. Use twice daily.

Active ingredients:

Azadirachta indica (Neem, Nimba) Curcuma longa (Turmeric, Haridra)

Packaging:

It's packed in squeeze out tube with the top cap. I find it a bit difficult to open up the cap but that’s a good thing in a way coz there’s no fear of it leaking out of the tube during traveling.

Net weight: 50 ml

Price: Rs. 45

In the mirror of my own experience:

Seeing pimples on my face was really horrible, although they were small ones but still I never have had any so it was a bad experience for me. But after using this face wash, they all vanished in 4-5 days and that was really impressive. Since then I’ve used this facewash only during summers despite the fact that I don’t face much of pimple problem now. But still it’s really good for me in summers.

What I like about this facewash:

It can make your face pimple free in less than a week.

It’s quite moisturizing and even if you skip out the moisturizer, it’ll do. But if your skin is normal you should use a moisturizer after this.

Makes the face look fresh and supple.

Gives a lovely soothing effect to the face.

Didn’t experience any breakouts on using it.

The packaging is nice and the product is handy.

It’s a herbal product and that too from Himalaya Herbals, so you can trust the product; no side effects.

Does not sting much if goes into the eyes.

Very little quantity is required in one wash and thus the quantity of the product is worth the price.

So of course, the price is very reasonable.

What I don’t like:

It’s not good for me in winters as my skin becomes dry at that time so I usually don’t use this face wash in winters.

It does not produce much lather which, in a way is good, but not for those who want lather producing face washes.

Final thoughts-

So overall all I have to say is that I’m loving this face wash and one of the best face washes that I’ve used till now. I’m surely gonna buy it again and again for summers and monsoon.

Rating:

4.5/5

Will I recommend it:

Yes, it should be must for oily and combination skinned girls. Even normal skin type girls should try it out in case they face any problems like pimples or acne.

So that was all about my experience with this facewash from Himalaya. Hope this review helps!! have you tried it?? What do you think?
