Ellis Faas Blushes- review, swatches...(Part II)

Winter has almost arrived , especially in North India. Your all products either skincare or makeup would be changing according to the season. In this dry weather I'll prefer a cream blush and when we talked about cream blushes, in my opinion Ellis Faas's cream blush are some of the best blushes I have used ever. Today I'm going to continue with the Ellis Faas blushes reviews , first Blush- S301 and second Blush- S302. Both are cream blushes & are very pretty shades.  I have already reviewed one of their blushes a few weeks ago and if you are a regular reader of COB, you would be aware about that review. Ellis Faas Blushes are cream blushes, come in a unique bullet pen packaging.

How to apply

Apply a dot of colour directly onto the middle of the cheek with the signature ELLIS FAAS pen and fade out with your fingertips or with the sponge that comes with the powder.

Packaging

Wonderful packaging, come in a silver, bullet-shaped pen which are not very light weight but their sleek and pen shaped packaging makes them very easy to use and carry out wherever you want. The only problem with such packaging you aren't able to see how product is left or whether it is about to finish or not.

Applicator

A spongy applicator & after turning the bottom portion, the product comes out through the pores in the applicator.

Texture

Very soft and silky texture with a hint of shimmer which is visible more than S304. The creamy texture doesn't make the skin oily at all. It blends dreamily.

Shade and pigmentation

s301- s301 is a pinkish salmon color with a hint of lovely shimmer. The shimmers only give your cheeks a beautiful glow. This is my favorite shade between the two. 

s302- s302 is a warm pearl coral rose color. Only a hint of shimmer which gives a pearly glowing finish to your face.
 

Lasting power

As I had written my previous post of s304 the lasting power is amazing. These blush are the same and  last until you remove it, can stay whole day on your face. I'll want to say again that never get such long lasting power in a cream blush.

In the mirror of my own experience

S301 is my favorite shade. It gives me a natural pinkish glow. I only need a touch of it for each cheek and I find a natural and glowing effect. This blush blends beautifully. After blending the flow which I find looks as natural as if I've not applied any blush on the face at all, just naturally blushing from inside. 
S302 is perfect for all types of skin tones. Only a dab for each cheeks give a wonderful effect. This effect makes it a very different blush and adds to the natural appearance of this flush. I find  a dewy and youthful glow which is something most of us work hard to achieve. The most important thing in both blushes is that being cream blushes they give the effect of a mixture of powder and cream. Something like when you mix a cream blush with a same shade powder blush and the result which you get from these blushes gives you the same effect. This coral rose peachy pink shade is a bit darker than the first one but this is a natural shade and can be used everyday. Both are blend able like a dream and the finish is something that you obtain after running really fast.  The another important thing is that the formula contains vitamins C and E, essential oils, and rosewater so they  not only make you beautiful but also they are so good for your skin too. I already have written about the wonderful lasting power. I'm really really impressed.

Good points

Love its unique pen shaped packaging. I never found any problem with this packaging, just two clicks and I get the right amount of product.
Both shades are beautiful and give a natural effect on your face.
They blend wonderfully. 
Just a dab on each cheeks needed to find a natural finish. You may need more than one layer of color depending on the look you're trying to achieve.
Both shades look amazing and beautiful after blending on the cheeks. The shimmer which they contain, is not much noticeable only gives you a pearly finish.
The lasting power is fantastic of both blushes. They last until you remove them.
They never feel much creamy or oily on the face even in monsoons.

The cherry on the top is that they contain some useful ingredients like vitamins, oils etc. 
The price is worth their amazing qualities.

Bad points

Every time washing the applicator seems a headache...hey I'm a lazy person.
While washing the applicator, some product can be waste which is painful.
The color choice is limited, only four shade which is not enough.

Finally....

Finally I'm highly impressed with these blushes. They both give me a natural and beautiful effect which I love. The main thing is that I never feel something odd after applying them, feel like nothing is on my face at all. I forget after applying them because they stay on face for a whole day. I never test for night. I can apply then on my lips too and whenever I did this, the result was just amazing. All qualities which we wished from a blush get from them so what i can say more. They are just wonderful..God I'm impressed.

Too Faced Full Bloom Lip & Cheek Creme color- For the flushing Cheeks & gorgeous lips....

Cream and stick blushes are more easier to apply than a powder blush if we are in a hurry. Just dab onto the finger, apply on cheeks and blend, no need to pick up a brush if you don't want. Cream blushes give more natural effects and very easy in applying. But would it not be like cherry on the top if you find a blush which not only works as blush but also a lip color too. How to apply

Packaging

Beautiful pink packaging with pink and peach flowers and golden border looks elegant and classic. Inside, there is the shining black compact case which is slightly different from their powder blush case. The above part of the case is the same, shining black with the elegant design which reminds me of something really royal & classic. We find the same shining mirror inside the part but this part of the box is slightly different. 

The bottom case of the box is transparent and we can see the color from the bottom of the packaging which is so helpful. The whole packaging is so beautiful, lightweight and  easy to carry.

Texture

The texture is creamy, soft & silky. When you touch it with your fingers, the satin effect can be felt without even applying it on your face. In fact it's really fun to apply this blush on your cheeks, you keep your finger with the blush and it your fingers move and slip on your cheeks just like a dream. The effect is same on the lips too. The most important thing of this blush is it being so light weight. You won't even feel that you've applied something on your cheeks.

Shade & Pigmentation

They have described it as a warm coral shade but in my opinion it's a coral peach shade which is so beautiful and natural too. The pigmentation is just perfect for that 'flushed' look and the color is buildable too. Only one or two swipes is enough to get the color. When you apply it on your lips with a brush the finish is just amazing. Can surprise your favorite lipstick!!

Lasting Power

Like their powder blush, the lasting power of this is wonderful too. It stays for a whole day easily. It can stay more if you apply one touch of powder blush on it.

In the mirror of my own experience

I applied this blush on my cheeks and lips for a marriage anniversary party of one my close friend. I applied just one or two swipes on my cheeks and the satin effect which I got from after blending it, was really amazing. I hesitated a bit before apply it on my lips because I wasn't sure about its effect. I have a similar shade lipstick but I took the risk due to my curiosity to see it on my lips. I applied it with my lip brush and the first application described its smoothness and intensity which one can only find in some fine textured lipsticks. After applying I just love the finish and effect. I got a lot of appreciation in the party, I don't remember how many ladies asked me about the name of my blush and lipstick....hey, and after answering them they all were so amazed to know about such a product that had done two things so perfectly!

The best thing of this product is that it's so light weight!

It's so smooth and build able and lasts all day for me. It's perfect for normal to dry skin but I think it's fine for oily skin too. If you have oily skin, only have to do apply the cream blush on your cheeks then give a touch of powder blush on it and you'll get a wonderful finish on your face. On the lips it's so perfect, I don't even need to apply a lip balm before applying it but if you have chapped lips, apply a lip balm before wearing it.

Good points

I really love its cute and elegant packaging which is also very handy and travel friendly.

Slight different packaging from their powder blushes. Can see the color on the bottom of the packaging. 

The texture is so velvety and silky that you even feel only touching with your fingers.

It feels light weight on the skin like feather. 

The pigmentation is fantastic. Just one or two swipes gives the right shade you want.

It blends like a dream and gives you a beautiful finish.

You get a natural flush look which becomes so pretty after mixing with light.

It's so buildable and long lasting.

It's similarly superb on your lips as on the face. 

Gives your lips a beautiful but natural effect. 

Doesn't make my lips dry at all.

It doesn't smell.

The price is fair enough after knowing about its quality. It's worth every penny.

Bad points

The same disappointing part of this brand is not available in India. They don't even ship here although Too Faced is very famous in India. I hope they will think about it.

Finally....

 Finally I'm so impressed with the quality of this blush. I love the effect whenever I apply it both on my face and on my lips. I want their Tea Rose shade too. I really love this product because the one product works two thing so perfectly. I can't say where it looks best, on the cheeks or on the lips. In fact it's best on both the places. So it's the other favorite product for me.

Here I have applied Too Faced Full Bloom Lip & Cheek Creme Color on my cheeks and lips. You can see how natural looks it after applying.

Recommendation

Lots of festivals are coming this winter, Eid, Diwali and the Christmas..so cream blushes will be perfect in this dry and cold weather so then a blush works superbly two works at the same time? Is there anything to think of?

Maybelline Dream Mousse blush- Review & swatches

Being a fan of Maybelline products especially lipsticks & bronzer, I decided to try out their cream blush too as i was in search of a good cream blush. And now i'm happy to say that I made the right choice and bought this one i.e. Maybelline Dream Mousse blush-40 Soft plum.

What it claims:

• Air-whipped mousse blush feels satin-soft on skin, glides on smoothly, and blends easily for seamless color and a natural finish

• Long-wearing formula provides luminous, long-lasting color on cheeks without clogging pores

How to use:

With your fingertips, pat a small amount of blush onto the apples of your cheeks. Use feathery strokes to blend gently from your cheekbones to your temples. To build color intensity, apply more blush.

Packaging:

This blush comes in a small glass jar with a pink lid similar to the Maybelline bronzer(color difference is there). It's a bit bulky but one can easily manage it.

In the mirror of my own experience:

I have never used cream blushes so this was my first experience with a cream blush and I must admit that I really loved this blush!! It has a smooth cream, velvety texture which blends like dream. It has some soft shimmers which look adorable and not too noticeable. It's very easy to apply this blush & it has a smooth & even finish too.

A closer look

Good points:

Love it's soft & glowy texture.
Gives an even finish.
Gives a beautiful & healthy radiance to the cheeks due to it's light shimmers.
Very pigmented and only a little quantity is required every time.
The staying power is for around 6-7 hrs on my normal skin but it may be a bit less for oily skin.
It's a beautiful light pink shade.
Very easy to apply and can be applied even in a hurry.
Very affordable & the product is worth the price.

Swatches

Bad points:
The jar packaging is a bit unhealthy coz one will have to touch it with the fingertips and a
brush also can't be used for blending it.

The shimmers may not be liked by everyone.

Only two shades are available in India :(

Final thoughts:

Finally i would say that it's another of my favorite Maybelline products & I would love to try some other shades too if they were available in India & I would highly recommend this to other girls as well who are in need of an affordable yet high-quality blush.
