Revlon Illuminance Creme eyeshadow- review, Swatches and photos

Good evening ladies,

Hope everyone is having a great week and enjoying the beautiful spring :-D Anyways let’s talk about today’s post which is about Revlon Illuminance Creme shadow.

Most of the products that I use are from Revlon only coz I really love their quality and they are easily affordable too.

It was around 3-4 months back when I got this cream eye shadow palette from Revlon- Copper coast.

What is it?

It’s an eyeshadow quad with four cream eye shadows which comes in a transparent lid palette.

What it claims?

Ophthalmologist tested, it blends seamlessly for limitless effects, luminous finish brightens up eyes, weightless color glides on smoothly and easily with fingertips, fragrance-free, irritant-free, and suitable for contact lens wearers.

Price-Rs 485

My experience-

I haven’t used much of cream eye shadows so when heard of these from Revlon I went to get one to give it a try. It’s available in 10-12 shades but these caught my eye first and I bought it in Copper coast. Another reason was that I had also got a new dress and this one matches it perfectly. Till now I’ve used it only 2-3 times and I can say that it’s not a bad product but has some cons too which I’ve mentioned below.

This quad contains four shades- dark brown, orangish brown, golden and dull white.

Packaging-

It comes in a container with a transparent lid. Closes with a click but opens with a bit of difficulty (at least that’s the case with me)

What I like about these shadows ?-

They are nicely pigmented.

The shades in this palette are both light and dark with shimmers.

They are full of shimmers and give a dazzling look to the eyes.

It blends well and looks beautiful on the eyes.

Does not feel heavy on the eyelids and the texture is very smooth and creamy.

You can also use the white one as a base sometimes.

The case is very handy and compact.

The shades in all the palettes are very pretty.

Both light and dark shades available in each palette and you can create different looks using these.

Product is worth the price.

Here are the swatches-

What I don’t like about these shadows-

It creases after sometime which does not look good on the eyelids.

No applicator provided.

I don’t like the packaging coz I had expected it to be in a beautiful case with a mirror and applicator but the transparent lid is not at all impressive and it sometimes even separates out.

As many people say that it is not suitable for oily eyelids.

But overall I can say that it is quite an impressive product & I would like to try out some other shades too.

Rating- :D :D :D :D /5

Will I repurchase it- Maybe….I would like to try out Black Magic and Electric pop.

Will I recommend it- Yes, if you are a fan of Revlon and cream eye shadows you should try it out, but not suitable for oily eyelids.

So this was today’s review about Revlon Illuminance crème eyeshadows. Hope you like it :-D Have you tried any of the shades from Revlon’s cream eyeshadows….did you like it??

Chambor eyeshadow trio- Review & Swatches

Hi friends and lovely readers,

So here I am today with a new post and review which i had missed all these days. Hope it helps!!

Today’s review is all about another of my Chambor eyeshadow trio which I had bought almost one year ago. I love this trio and have used it many times so I wanted to show it to all of you.

Packaging:

I have written about its packaging before when I had reviewed another Copper trio so today I only want to say that this is an ideal packaging where you get everything you want, cute box which is very easy to open with a click, nice mirror, very helpful for makeup of your eyes even during traveling with a soft tipped applicator which is able to apply the shades on my eye lids.

I’m sorry it’s a bit messy from inside :p

Price:

I bought it for Rs. 450 but now the price is 475.

Shades:

Now about the shades, it’s a trio so there are 3 colors in this palette. All are pretty and beautiful. The best part of these shades is neither the shades are very shimmery nor too matte. The texture is very soft and very nice in blending.

Shade one:

This shade is a reddish maroon one and very beautiful. You can apply it on your crease, outer corner and all over lid of your eyes as well. Very pigmented and soft. An amazing combination of shimmer and matte which looks beautiful after blending.

Shade two:

This one is copper gold which is perfect for the crease and outer corner of your eyes. This too does not have much shimmer in it so you can comfortably apply it on your eyes with your matching outfit. I have used this shade with black outfit many times. You can get an elegant look on using it with gold shadow.

Shade three:

This shade is silver and very different from the two and is a highlighter. It is not at all pigmented. You’ll have to apply it again and again to find the good shade. The texture of this shade is not soft. Not good in blending and very chalky. A lot of fall out during applying it but if you bear that fall out and be a bit patient, it looks very lovely on your brow bone as well as all over the lids.i have used it so many times you can see it in the picture.

Staying power:

Good staying power. It can remain for about 5-6 hours comfortably. I have applied it without base some times and it stayed easily about 4-5 hours. With base it stays for a long time.

The reason, I love this trio:

I love the pigmentation of the two shades.

Great staying power.

Love the versatility of shades. I can wear them easily with formal outfit as well as casual too because they are lovely combination of shimmers and matte.

The silver one is not very pigmented but I love to apply it with my pink and white outfit.

They give a very nice coverage and make my lids lovely.

There is no fallout (Excluding the silver one)

Love the soft texture of shades 1 & 2.

All of them define my eyes very nicely.

Price is reasonable.

Here are the swatches ( shades 1and 2 one swipe each and shade 3 3-4 swipes)

The reason, I don’t love it:

The silver one is not as good as the other two. This one has disappointed me. I think in a trio, company should take care of the similarity of their shades. Some times only one shade can keep the customers away from lovely palettes.

Over all I love this trio and I have used it so many times and I’ve been asked many times about these shades so it’s one of my favorite.

Rating:

3.85/5

Will I purchase it again?

Yes, I have already some trios from Chambor. I’ll really love to check out their new range of eye shadows.

Will I recommend it to others?

You should really try this trio.

So friends, tell me have you used this palette ever? What do you think about it? Would love to know about your experience :) :)

NYX EXOTIC GREEN single eyeshadow- review and swatches

Hi friends,

Hope you all are fine. Spring is coming up and flowers are beginning to bloom and there is a smell of love in the atmosphere.

Today I’m going to show a very cute single eyeshadow to which i got as a gift..gift..hmm you can say by the way this is a shadow which i took from my sister’s vanity bag. She has lot of NYX single eye shadows ( around 5-6 of them).

What it claims-

Radiant shades of highly pigmented eye shadows that offer intense color with long-lasting wear. Formulated for silky smooth application and easy blending. Finely milled powder that feels like cream.

The shade-

Exotic Green -Dark black forest green with green flecks

My experience-

It is one of my favorite shadows. I have used it only once or twice but I was really impressed by the pigmentation and quality of the shadow. Will surely post some pics soon. The texture is very pigmented and shade is unique. it seems as if the shade is glittering green but actually the shade is black with green glitter. i love this shade!! :)

Why I love this shadow-

Love the cute packaging. Very handy and can be carried anywhere.

The color is unique.

Very pigmented.

Can stay for about 8-9 hours a day on my eyes.

I didn’t pay myself for it but I think it is for about $ 4-5.

Very easy to blend.

Some fallout, but manageable.

Here are the swatches-

You can see the exact shade in the first pic but the other two…my camera couldn’t pick the shade :(

Rating-

4.75/5

Overall i can say that I love this cute eyeshadow. I wish and I hope someone sends me more shadows of this range but who???? :-D

Maybelline eyeshadow duo- Swatches and Review

Good morning ladies,

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Today’s post is just a short review about one of my Maybelline duos- Grey matters

This is a duo eyeshadow containing a pair of shades along with a sponge tip applicator.

What Maybelline claims- Maybelline Expert Wear Eye Shadow This advanced formula eye shadow glides on effortlessly with superior smoothness. Velvet-tip applicator blends without tugging or pulling. All-day crease-resistant wear. ExpertWear is a longwearing powder shadow that is crease, smudge, and streak resistant. Fade-proof color remains true throughout the wear.

Price- Rs 130

What I like about this duo-

This isa perfect duo for a light smokey eye look.

Mostly suitable for working women and teenager girls.

Very handy…can be kept anywhere.

Very decently priced.

Do not have a fall out.

The gray shade is very pretty in this duo.The gray shade is better in comparison to silver.

I love the tiny applicator.

Available in many combinations such as browns, lilacs, greens etc.

It’s not very pigmented but sufficient for a light eye makeup. The effect after applying is very pretty.

Lasting power is okay. Although i had used them without any primer and I didn’t face any problem of fading up of the shades. So if you apply them with primer, you can easily be comfortable for about 5-6 hours with them.

Here are the swatches-

In sunlight-

What I don’t like about this duo-

Both shades are not very pigmented. I have to take out the shade again and again to make them pigmented.

Pics from a look which I had done a few months back on my blog

What about Buying it again-

I already have 2-3 of these so won’t buy any more. But will surely recommend it for collage going girls and the beginners of makeup.

Rating- 3.5/5

So, what do you think about these duos of Maybelline? Please don’t compare them with any luxury brand. After all you don’t have to pay much also :-D

Chambor eyeshadow trio( Bronze)

Festival times are over, so normal life is going on. You all ladies would want to look beautiful in your normal life but in a natural look which can give you a descent and charming personality. Makeup which makes you beautiful but doesn’t show, light natural lipstick and light eye shadow which can define your eyes without showing.
This Chambor eyeshadow trio is very nice for those working girls who believe in elegant and descent look.

I love this brand so always like checking out its products in the market. I bought this trio a couple of months ago and after using it only once, I can say that I love it. I’m not crazy about loud makeup so it’s very fine for me.

It comes in a very classy packaging and I like it. Navy blue packaging is very elegant. Inside the carton navy blue box with the Chambor trade mark is very pretty.

Now inside the box, the box opens easily with a click and we find three shades in the box with a nice applicator and mirror. Applicator can easily apply all the shades and with its mirror one doesn’t need to look here and there for it.

Price- Rs 450 when I bought it in October but now these trios are of Rs 475

Shade 1

This is a coppery-bronze brown color. I love it for outer corner of my eyes. Its lovely shimmer finish defines my eyes very well. It looks great as an overall lid colour too, when we go for any night occasion. Inspite of some shimmer in it, it has a matte finish in it. After blending, it looks amazing.

Shade 2

This shade is also pretty lovely. It has a white pearly finish and is some what similar to the Maybelline shadow stylist pearl white. I can use it with white and off white dress. It is successful if you want a pearly finish to your eyes but you have to define your eyes by applying some dark shade on your outer corner.

Shade 3

This shade is my most favorite in this palette. Overall it is a neutral shade.I can use it on any of my dress. It gives a very elegant and natural finish to my eyes. After applying it I feel very natural and simple but pretty look. With black dress, it looks very fresh and beautiful. It looks as if I haven’t applied any shadow on my lids but gives my lid a very innocent beauty. Can be used to create a lovely look for day parties and functions.

The reason why I love this trio:

All the three colors are very pretty and give a pearly finish.

Its suits every skin color.

pigmented and very nice in blending.

I can very easily pick them by the applicator or brush.

They all give me natural eye look.

These are very suitable for working girls.

It’s for you if you want a subtle and simple look.
There is not much fallout which relaxes me and I can easily do my makeup.
Applicator is very nice and easy to apply.
Mirror makes my work very easy. Very nice to carry out in my purse.

Now the swatches-

Some dislikes:
I love Chambor trio but often have seen that one shade is little bit chalky. But thanks God in this one there is no such shade.

The quality of every shade should be equal.

It is a trio which is not for festival occasion.

It’s not for you if you love loud makeup.

But overall I love this trio and will always check their latest shadows.
Rating of this trio: 4/5
Hey girls what your views about this trio. Have you tried any other Chambor trio?
