Ponds moisturizing cold cream and Dove anti perspirant deodorant- Review

Hi ladies,

How is everyone? Hope all is well...!

Today I'm reviewing two products which I had bought recently.

So the first one is Ponds moisturizing cold cream.

I had asked Tanveer about what to use in winters coz just like my mom my skin also gets dry in winters and she had recommended to use this cream.

What it claims: moisture+ nourish+ protect

Moisture- Ponds' quenching moisturizers with Sodium PCA and glycerin that gently moisturize skin and maintain the skin hydration balance.

Nourish- Skin nourisher with soya protein, sunflower oil and skin lipids for soft supple skin.

Protect- SkinInsta- shield with mineral oil, Emmolients and sillicone conditioners protects skin from harsh winters and preserves its youthful beauty.

It is dermatologically tested.

How to use: Gently massage it on your face and neck in upward circular motions twice daily.

I was not too sure whether it is good or not so I picked up a trial pack of 30 ml just for Rs 27.

I've used it twice and found it great for winters...It's a bit sticky which is good for dry skin.

The bottle is so cute...white and blue combination.

Till now I haven't found any cons in it and I'll surely use it in winters.

Thanks a lot Tanveer my mom is very satisfied with this and has decided to buy the big bottle after using this pack. She liked Nivea cream for winters but this one is better than that.So if you guys have dry skin in winters you should surely try it and if you have how did you find it to be??

So now let's come on to the second product- Dove anti perspirant deodorant 1/4 moisturizing cream in grapefruit and lemongrass scent.

I've used deodorants from Faa, Eva and Spinz...so thought of trying out something new and picked up this.

It is dermatologically tested.

It gives a 24 hr protection which is almost true.

It has got a light smell which is a good thing as I usually don't prefer strong smelling deos....they really give me a headache!

The fragrance is lovely and the packaging is good.

Price: Rs 160

This is one of the best deodorants I've ever used...So have you guys used it??

WHICH FAIRNESS CREAM WOULD YOU PREFER......

Hi ladies,

I hope you guys would have enjoyed the weekend. Commonwealth Games has started and India has already won three four golds and two three silvers and three bronze too. We have also won the first test cricket against Australia so there are a lot of good news and hope this will go on.

So lets talk about today's post. Yesterday my neighbor Kiran consulted me to suggest her about any good fairness cream. She had been using the Ponds white beauty cream before and she was not satisfied with it. She has an oily and dark skin with lot of dark spots and blemishes. She admitted that before using this cream her skin was in worse condition and after using two and three bottles, she has got some difference in her skin but it's the human nature that wants more and more.

I learned Kiran’s experience about this product-

This comes in a nice bottle (She had the small sized one)

It’s not sticky at all so very nice for oily and combination skins.

She loves its nice smell.

She realized some good effects after using this and it was showing very clear on her face so it can be honestly said that she hasn't wasted her money.

Some minus points on this product-

It gives a dry effect after applying on the face so it’s not for dry skin at all.

Kiran couldn't completely get rid of her dark spots and blemishes so that is the other minus point.

I suggested another fairness cream: Olay natural white which I bought for a try but got it to be very nice for my skin.

What the product claims-

It’s formula with triple nutrient system-vitamins B3,pro 85 & E nourish your skin to reduce the appearance of dark spots and dullness for a healthy-looking natural fairness that glows.

It has light & non greasy texture that absorbs easily to help nourish your skin with nutrients.

It also contains sunscreen ingredients that helps protect skin from harmful UV rays.

Direction of use-

Use twice a day on a clean face and neck.

My own experience with this product-

I agree that I have a fair skin and never have had any dark spots but a couple of months ago, I found some brown spots on my forehead and it had made me restless. After some research with magazines and internet I decided to buy this one and thankfully can say that I’m not disappointed at all.

What I like-

I started with the trial pack which was in a cute tube.

The packaging of this product is quite comfortable and nice.

I love its light smell.

It feels little bit greasy when we apply it but after 2-3 minutes it’s not greasy at all.

It makes my skin smooth and soft.

It’s really effective and I have clearly seen the difference in my skin after almost half a tube.

My brown spots are completely gone.

I think the cost is worth the effect of this cream: Rs 99 for 20 gm tube.

I can’t say about the fairness claim honestly, I think Kiran will tell about it.

No dislikes.( My own experience)

But yes I’m not too sure how it will work for too much oily skin. But as it is not greasy at all so it is good for oily skin also.

Will I purchase it again?

I think yes…whenever I’ll need to.

So ladies guess even you should try this cream and share your honest views about it.

VLCC SKIN DEFENSE SANDAL CLEANSING MILK- REVIEW

Sorry friends for keeping you all wait for a new post.

Last few days were very busy and I was quite tensed due to some reasons. I missed my readers and friends, now I'm here with something useful.

I bought this VLCC Skin Defense Sandal cleansing milk because I was highly impressed by company's other products like it's massage cream, face packs and even the face wash.

What the company claims-

This refreshing, non foaming cleansing milk is enriched with the goodness of Sandalwood, Almond & Indian Berberry extracts. It deep cleanses, nourishes and heals the skin.

Method of use-

Massage gently in circular motion with a small amount of this cleansing milk on the face & neck. Remove with damp cotton. Ideal for all skin types, but better for normal to dry skin.

Ingredients-

Indian Berberry Ext, Lodhra Bark Ext, Red Sandalwood Ext, Fenugreek Ext, Almond oil.

My own experience-

After using this product, I can tell that it's the best cleanser I have ever used. It totally justifies what it it claims.

What I like in this product?

It can remove all the makeup very easily expect the water proof makeup(which is a little tough)

                                                                I applied kajal:

Then I removed it with this cleanser.Great job! Isn't it??

I love the it's light smell.

It's gentle and I feel fresh after using it.

The price is worth the product- Rs 115 only

The consistency is neither runny nor thick.

Does not dry my skin after I remove my makeup.

What I don't like-

This product removes face makeup and eye shadows completely but it does not remove water proof mascara or eye liners easily.

It is a lotion based cleanser so it wouldn't be as good for oily skin as it is for normal to dry skin.

Will I buy it again?

yes of course, I have finished the last one and just bought this new bottle. I love this cleansing lotion.

So beauties, what's your view about this product, I really want to know it & I'll surely recommend it to all of you to try this product.

Lotus Cocomoist Moisturizing Lotion(review)

I brought this moisturizer for this rainy season. In this weather my normal skin becomes a bit oily so I have to try some other products which are different from the usual ones. Moisturizer is must for daily skin care.My Shamoist is the best for me in winter but I have to change it in summer & monsoon. I have tried some other moisturizers which gave good results. Today I'm gonna tell you about Lotus Cocomoist Moisturizing Lotion.

What the company claims-

An all purpose moisturizing lotion that promotes soft, silky and smooth skin.Maintains the pH balance of skin and enhance its moisture retention capacity.

Active Ingredients-Cocoa-Butter, Rose water and Honey.

Direction of use-

What I like in this product-

  • The main achievement of this moisturizer is it is not greasy.
  • In this humidity ( Dehradun experiences very heavy rains) it is greatly successful.
  • There is no trace of stickiness on my skin after applying it.

  • It's not thick & it easily smudges into the skin pores.
  • I love its light aroma.
  • I have finished half of the bottle and my skin does not experience any problem with it.
  • The cost of this moisturizer Rs. 250 is pretty reasonable.
  • The pump out bottle is nice and comfortable . I take out the needed quantity without touching & wasting it.

What I don't like in this product-

It is thin and good only in summer and monsoon but not in winter when my skin needs more moisturizer.(It is good for combination skin in cold weather).

Will I purchase it again?

Why not, but not in coming winter.

So ladies, what is your experience with this moisturizer, I'll really want to know this.

FORGET ABOUT LIQUID FOUNDATIONS-TRY SOMETHING NEW......

Hey ladies,
Sorry for late posting, I was too busy this week and believe me I didn't get even 1 hour to switch on to blogging. We were doing some shifting and construction work was going on and bla bla bla........
Anyways, thank God that it's all over now.So here I am with a very interesting product. Two days before I went to the market with an intention to do turn up home with some new makeup products. My liquid foundation had almost finished so I went to buy a new one. I asked the sales girl for something new and this is what she gave me.As you all can see that this thing is in the shape of a stick and that is what it is.It's the new Chambor Refreshing Stick Foundation 01 cool maple.

  • It is oil free and with  SPF 8.
  • It is for all skin types.
  • Contains Orange Extract, rich Vitamin C and essential oils, with hydrating and anti-oxidant benefits.
  • It glides on effortlessly providing versatile coverage and a long lasting natural finish.
I've just used it twice and found it to be great.I found it to be better than Loreal Roll On True Match because the latter  can only be applied very nicely with skilled hands whereas this stick is very easy to use and apply (in my opinion).
  • Just dab on.
  • Blend with your fingers and then close well.
It is so safely packed with another plastic lid over it.

It does not contain any shine and one will not even need a compact powder over it. It smudges into the skin and the finishing is amazing.

It feels weightless on my skin as if I'm totally without make-up.
You can use it for three years.Of course I'm not gonna use it for so long as it'll surely finish before that or I'll be bored with it. Ha Ha...
COST: Rs 825 for 7g.

This thing is really fabulous and every time I'm gonna buy it (until and unless a new product  comes). So ladies try it yourself and tell me about your experience with new Chambor Refreshing Stick foundation....

PONDS- RE-BRIGHTENING NIGHT TREATMENT

I never preferred to use night cream because I believed that during night our skin should be free of creams and we should let it breathe freely. However, last winter I found my skin to be dry every morning and I somehow had to get rid of this dryness.

First I used Himalaya Night cream for a try but it didn't work as per my needs. I was quite disappointed. Then my friend suggested me to buy Ponds Re-Brightening Night Treatment. I used it that night and the following morning found my skin to have a soft and flawless look.

I was highly impressed by the fact that I only needed a touch of moisture after washing my face. Isn't it awesome?

This is the forth bottle that i am using(I use it almost every night).

WHAT THE COMPANY CLAIMS- Extra nourishing, with new VAO-B3 complex, this revitalizing night cream helps repair daily damage and actively lightens while you sleep.

METHOD-After cleansing your skin, apply and leave overnight. Apply it over your entire face and neck with your fingertips.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT-

  • I use only a little amount every day and it smudges into the skin and makes it soft.
  • It has got a lovely light fragrance.
  • It is not sticky at all.
  • Very very light weighted and it seems as if I haven't applied any of it.
  • I even love the container in which it comes.

It's cost it Rs 450($9 or 10)- quite convenient. Isn't it?

So ladies try this one and tell me how you had your experience with this cream or any other night cream?????
