Dull golden & brown EOTD- photos, tutorial

I tried an EOTD using dull golds & brown shades...so wanted to share it with all my readers. Please take a look!

Now the tutorial

Apply a good base or primer on your bare lids

Take light dull golden shade,  and apply onto the lid with a flat brush, keeping it below the crease.

Now on a blending brush sweep out some dull brownish golden eyeshadow onto the area slightly above the socket line to your outer corner. Then with a pointed brush take the same shade and apply it very close to the lower lashes to define your lash line. Use another pointed brush and apply the dull gold shadow which you have applied on you lid area, in the inner corner of your eyes.

Then take a half creamy dull golden shade for the rest of your lids including your brow bone. Now with a pointed brush blend the edges of all colors well.

Line your top lash line with a black liquid eye liner and make a wing line.

Then line your lower lash line with the same eyeliner and join it with a wing line.

Apply mascara & use false lashes if you want

 

Now you are done!!

Foundation is one of the most complicated things in makeup which sometimes seems impossible to get right one. You want a shade that matches your skin tones perfectly and in such a formula that is easy to work with, it must even out your complexion and hide imperfections.Which after applying should look  like nothing on your face at all. There are 8 shades in the line and the second lightest S102 which is perfect for my skin.

Packaging

The skin veil comes in the same silver pen packaging quite similar to the other Ellis faas products, but the only difference is these ones are bit bigger. It has a large brush for application. It comes with two vials which contain 7 ml each of the foundation. One of the vial has to be inserted inside the pen & the other is a spare one. All you've to do is just click the end of the pen for at least 7-8 times for the first time & then afterwards it just requires 3-4 clicks for the foundation to come out.

Application tips

Skin veil is very easy to apply. You can apply it both with the brush( included with it) or your finger tips. The large and soft brush which is included with the pen is very helpful for applying the foundation but it takes a bit time so when you are in a hurry you can use your natural brush I mean your fingertips for blending.

Brush

When you open the cap of the pen, you find a large and soft brush which is very useful for applying the foundation. The brush tip is designed in such a way that it makes application very easy.

Texture

The texture is neither thick nor runny. It's so light weight, quite creamy and very easy to apply and blend on the face.

In the mirror of my own experience

I have used their lip range before and love their quality so my expectations were high for their foundation too and after using it, I can say without any hesitation that they didn't let me down with my expectations.

After applying, while blending I was surprised to notice that my skin absorbed the foundation so easily and it gave the face one of the most beautiful finishes I have ever noticed. The finish was so natural, silky and smooth as if it's my natural skin. It's necessary to write that it gives a medium coverage not very high so if you want to hide some dark spots, you need a concealer but believe me this is the foundation which has given a beautiful finish to my face. I can't explain about the finish, I got after applying it, you can understand that the finish is neither matte not overly luminous, just natural, velvety and supple. It’s packed with silicones which give it all that slip for easy application, but despite my fears, it doesn’t seem to be causing any congestion for me and my skin & makes it look dewy, soft and silky. The lasting power is very nice, It stays about whole day without faded.Something which I want to mention to my readers is that the brush provided with the pen is very helpful for applying and blending so it should be washed after every application. I wash this with a gentle baby shampoo. You can wash it with gentle face wash too. After washing it properly, dry it with soft clean towel or cloth. Close the cap when it become dry completely. This cleaning process is necessary whether you use the brush or not because it's important for hygienic purpose. Whenever you'll open  your foundation pen, you find a clean and clear tip for use.

Good points

• I love its unique pen packaging. It's very convenient for traveling & very handy. It can be kept it in very small handbag without occupying much space and can be used while traveling too. 

• The brush provided with the pen is very useful. No need to keep a separate foundation brush for applying and blending.

• The texture is very light weight and it seems as if I haven’t worn any foundation.

• There are 8 shades available in this line so one can easily choose the shade according one's skin tones. Shades S101 to S103 are suitable for many skin shades. 

• It spread all over my face within seconds and it blended really flawlessly and smoothly on the skin.

• It has a medium coverage. I don't need a concealer after applying it but if one has some dark spots, a touch of concealer will make one's skin flawless.

• It gives a flawless, soft, dewy & non cakey coverage. 

• Has SPF 15.

• Very easy to blend with both brush and fingertips.

• It gives the most beautiful finish to my face.

• It seems to be quite creamy but after applying it doesn't feel oily on the skin, gives a very natural finish which I love.

• It has a strong staying power.

• Very helpful for office going ladies.

Bad points

• It has a medium coverage so if you want a high coverage foundation,you need a concealer of the same shade available at Ellis Faas.
• The brush provided with the pen is necessary to be washed regularly after applying the foundation otherwise it can clog.
• Only available online. 
• A bit pricey.

Finally....

Finally I love this unique designed pen foundation. After using it I can say that it has everything which one can wish from an ideal foundation. Most of us, don't like a foundation which looks like a plaster or mask applied on the face. So it is an ideal foundation for medium coverage lovers. The main specialty of this foundation is the beautiful finish which it provides after applying on my face and its light weighted texture. I really love this foundation.

Highlighter plays an important role in makeup & being without an highlighter is something like a room with all precious decorations but no lights! I didn’t know it’s importance earlier, and never tried to use a highlighter on my face because I had been thinking that I don’t need any highlighter but after learning some makeup tips I knew that highlighter is an essential part of our makeup. I realized its quality after using only first time. Till then I have applied it many times and on the behalf of my own experience I can say without any hesitation that it’s my favorite highlighter ever. Today I’m going to review this lovely highlighter.

It’s a liquid highlighter which is seems a metallic gold and dark in shade but after applying it your thoughts & fancies will completely change. As it is a RBR it's not just makeup, it's also a healthy & useful treatment for the skin as it contains Melissa extract (a herb) to soothe, and Vitamin E to guard against aging.

What it claims

Packaging

I received it in a sample jar but I saw its real packaging on the RBR website and can tell that I have never seen such a beautiful packaging as this ever. Even the cardboard packaging look so classy and beautiful.

Inside it we find a frosted glass bottle with a lovely print on it that seems to resemble a myriad of lilac flowers with a black shiny cap. It's a pump out bottle which is very contented to take out your required amount of product.

Shades

It's a pretty metallic golden shade- Sea of Nectar. They also have the other 3 shades, Sea of Clouds (universally flattering white), Sea of Tranquillity (Golden pink with opalescent qualities), Sea of Showers (honey gold).

Texture

Sea of Nectar is a metallic warm gold, with very slight red undertones. It's neat because it has this high metallic sheen, but when rubbed onto your skin, it's luminous & illuminating.The texture is rather thick and creamy, not silicony at all. It can be easily sheered out and will give you a gorgeous fine fairy like shimmer that won't be noticed when it's on the face. It becomes a part of your face.

Pigmentation

It's super pigmented. The tiniest amount will be enough to do the entire face.I got it in a small gloss jar but I think it'll be enough for me to last an year!

In the mirror of my own experience

The Sea Of Nectar is a bronzey tan/gold in the jar but after applying and blending it on the skin it becomes a part of the skin and make it luminous and glowing. You will only see the pretty champagne-gold shimmer but not a bronze tint when you apply it.
as I wrote before that I was quite worried when I first saw this highlighter after opening the jar because it was looking dark for my skin tone, I thought that it'll be a waste product for me but when i applied it first and saw the effects; Oh my God, that moment this highlighter became my favorite highlighter. I can't explain the effects of it, it made my skin not only glowy and dewy but it gave it a marvelous beauty which is hard to describe. You can only see it on my face in the pictures.
You can use it with your foundation but only a tiny drop will be enough for giving you a healthy & illuminating look. Don't worry, it doesn't give any effect of excessive shine and greasiness.
But if you want to get a complete effect of this highlighter, You'll have to follow the way to apply a highlighter. Apply it on the cheekbones, the cupid's bow, the bridge of the nose and don't forget to give a light touch on your brow bone. Wow..it's really great. The best thing is that it mixes with skin and none can imagine that you have applied anything special or extra on your face. It has really become an essential part of my makeup for special occasions.

Final thoughts
No need to say any further, I guess. After using it I have realized the complete effect of any highlighter. I tried to use many highlighters but the difference which has been visible in me by this highlighter, made me accept the quality and specialty of a high class brand highlighter.

Simple eye makeup created using Sleek makeup Oh So Special Palette

Hi Lovely ladies,
Today I wanted to share a simple eye makeup which is quite easy and comfortably can be done by anyone. I have used my Sleek Makeup Oh So special palette for this makeup. All colors I've used are matte so it's a very wearable look.

Now let's have a look at this simple eye makeup tutorial:

At first apply a primer or base on your lids. I have applied my RBR Metamorphoses Mattifying Primer here.


Take light pink shade, I have taken Pamper shade from my Sleek Makeup palette, and apply onto the lid with a flat brush, keeping it below the crease.


Now on a blending Brush sweep out some dull blackish purple shade(I have taken Wrapped Up eyeshadow from Sleek makeup) eyeshadow onto the area slightly above the socket line to your outer corner.



Then take an half white matte shade for the rest of your lids including your brow bone.(I have applied Bow shade from Oh so special palette) Now with a pointed brush blend the edges of both colors well.



On with another pointed eye liner brush apply the same dark blackish purple shadow very close to the lower lashes to define your lash line.



Line your top lash line with a cream/gel or liquid liner. I have used my Mac gel eye liner with its brush.


Line your waterline with a kohl pencil. I lined with my Adorn Chubby pencil eye liner.


Apply mascara to top and bottom lashes. I have used my Motives mascara.Add some false lashes( I have wore my Ardell lashes) and you're done!

Here are some finished looks....The eye make-up is really quite simple - it just requires some good blending work and of course some especial shadows like from this Oh So Special palette!!
