Lakme Flawless Matte complexion Compact- Review and swatches

Hi ladies,

Today’s post is just a short review about one of my compacts. This one is from Lakme. LAKME FLAWLESS MATTE COMPLEXION COMPACT.

What it claims-

Flawless Matte Complexion Compact (9 gms)

With unique oil absorbing formula that gives you a flawless and matte look throughout the day. Vitamin conditions your skin throughout the day.

I got this compact around three months ago but haven’t used it much coz I love using Revlon and Loreal compacts of my collection. But still after using it two three times these are my thoughts-

Gives a nice, even and smooth finish to my skin.

Does not make it much cakey or pale.

The packaging is lovely!! :-D

The shade I have is apricot which is mainly for fair-wheatish skin type. It is also available in Melon for Fair skin and Almond for Wheatish skin.

Although Melon was a perfect match for my skin but I somehow felt that Melon could make my skin a bit pale and ghostly so i choose this one which is quite good.

Does not dry out my skin.

The coverage is medium. Not too bad.

Very lightweight and lasts for upto 5-6 hours.

Can be used over a foundation as it’ll absorb the oiliness of a liquid foundation leaving you skin moisturized.

Most Indian girls and women use Lakme products so for them this is a very good product provided they have a skin which has less spots.

Product is worth the price.

Price- Don’t remember exactly. Around Rs 175- 200

The swatches-

What I don’t like-

It doesn’t give full coverage so not good for girls having spots and blemishes in large quantity or darker ones. But my skin is thankfully quite good so it’s okay with me.

The puff is almost useless. Very thin and does not work well. So you have to use a brush for applying.

Rating- 3/5

Will I recommend it- For girls who have spotless and young skin can try it out. It is also very economical.

So girls hope this review helps. Have you tried it? What do you think?

Lakme eye shadow quartet- Tanjore Rush ( Review and swatches)

Hello ladies, Here I am back with a new post. Today I'm gonna review Lakme Gypsy collection eye shadow quartet Tanjore Rush.

I know I'm really late in reviewing this but anyways when bloggers reviewed these palettes this was my favorite one. As you people know that it was my is marriage last month so I thought why not do her bridal makeup myself so as to utilize my skills. Her dress was green and maroon so I needed a palette which had green, maroon and golden shades in it. Then I remembered about his palette and yeah I bought it!!

What it claims- Versatile quartets of vivid, high intensity powders put together to color, shape and highlight your eyes in an explosion of radiant color.

Price- Rs 425

As you know there are 4 shades in this palette and all are shimmery.
Tanjore Rush consist of golden yellow shade, bronze, forest green and wine purple.

Here are are my views on all these shades-

1. The first one is a wine purple shade. Such a gorgeous shade...Isn't it? Can be used to create a smokey eye look too.

2. The second one is forest green or you can call it a blackish green shade and this one is my favorite. Has a lovely texture and blends well.

3. The third one is a mixture of maroon and bronze. A nice shade and this one adds another bronze in my bronze-copper collection. Haven't used this one much till now.

4. The last one is a yellowish golden shade. I was not much impressed by this shade as it was not the perfect golden which I wanted. But still it has it's own quality so can't just kick it off.

OVERALL-

Pros:

All shades are super pigmented.

Silky and shimmery vibrant ones. Very well suited for night makeup and party looks.

Their lasting power is...well... not veryyy good but not very bad. They last up to 3-4 hours which is good enough.

Cons-

All shades are shimmery and very loud ones. I suppose they could have added one matte shade too.
The applicator is not a good one.
The sponge tip does not give a nice coverage and blending.

Here are the swatches only 2 swipes each-

Will I recommend it- Yes certainly! I'm very impressed by this palette and would surely tell my readers to try it out especially for festive occasions.

Soon I'll do a post posting pics of my sis' makeup which I had done.

So guys have to tried this palette? What do you think about it?

I blended them with my Vega eyeshadow brush and applied black eyeliner.

I applied green shadow on the half of my lower lid and blue on the other half and then applied mascara.

When I had bought this shadow, I was not completely satisfied and didn't know that it will give me such a great result.

Products used (eyes):

Lakme Face Magic Daily Wear Souffle- Review

Hi ladies

Hope everyone is doing well. Very busy these days!! Anyways, weekend has arrived once again and I'm gonna rest for two days to shake off all my weariness. Terrible weather going on here. Rain Rain and only rain!!! Haven't seen a ray of sunlight since the past 2-3 days. But rains are also fun. Isn't it??

Today's review is all about Lakme Face Magic:Daily Wear Souffle. I read about this product in a magazine. It was for getting a dewy kind of look. I found it quite interesting and bought it about 3 months ago.

WHAT I LIKE:

If I'm in a great hurry this is easy to use and works like a cream+compact+liquid foundation.

Also contains bit of moisturizer.

The bottle is cute.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:

My purpose was not fulfilled. It isn't that effective (For me). One of my friends also used it and she found it quite nice.

The color is too dark for my complexion. Gives sought of a tanned look.

When I used it for the first time it formed patchy spots on my skin.

It was only for Rs 99. Really inexpensive??

WILL I BUY IT AGAIN?? Hmmmmm....I'll have to think. Most probably NO.

So ladies this was all about Lakme Face Magic. Overall I didn't like it that much but maybe you should give it a try. Has anyone of you used it? If yes....don't hesitate to share your views. Hope it works for you. Enjoy the weekend guys!!

Lakme- Hair Streak Instant Hair Highlighter for cool hair!!

 Hi guys,

Happy Eid in advance to all my visitors......Very exited and even tensed a little.....Eid is coming and I'm confused about what sought of a makeup should I put on. Mainly the color scheme is white or pink. Anyways we'll see that. But the hair thing I've decided....

This time maybe I'm gonna apply Lakme Hair Streak instant hair highlighter ( Ritu Beri N1 ).

Afraid of coloring your hair, a sudden invitation for a party or in functions, no time to color your hair......No probs! Try this and highlight your hair for a day or even for few hours for sheer pleasure and happiness. We can use it to accent our natural hair or to play with our looks. Use it in any way you like and get gorgeous cool, hair.

The salesgirl showed me two shades- Brown and golden and I chose the Golden one. I bought it about a year ago and at that time it's cost was  Rs 200.

DIRECTION OF USE: Just select the section to be highlighted and brush color through from root to end.

When you've applied it for the day or certain hours; shampoo your hair and it'll easily come out. When I applied it for the first time i was quite excited as my looks had really changed......

For best results apply to dry hair.

This highlighter does not harm the hair at all and it's really good for me because I hardly color my hair. The brush is similar to a mascara and it's very easy to use.

Key Ingredients: Aqua, Tocopheryl Acetate & polyvinylpyrrolidone (whatever this is....)

This is my last post before Eid and happy Eid to everyone once again.

So ladies did you like this product? Try it and rate it:
